Why do you think that? There's enough lots of each type for every deed + 30%... so there will still be a village lot for you even if every single player ahead of you used their secondary town or village deed first. Seems perfectly fair.

If you have more than one deed, you can place any one of them (and only one) in your first window. All the other deeds have to wait until group 91, the group for secondary deeds. This is the same for LOTM as for anyone else. :)

Very useful piece of work this, thank you...

So if I'm reading this correctly, those individuals that have, for example, a castle deed and a POT but that also have lower deeds are able to place their Village deed in another area first in the knowledge that no one can take their castle space in their own POT.

As has been already said, it is what it is, but it would have been fairer if during the land rush you could only place your largest deed.

What I don't know is how many people are able to do that and whether it materially impacts those of us with smaller deeds.

That's by far the most realistic feature of the game! :) #socialcriticism ^^

Any official post to back this up? If so, that would surely satisfy me.

    The same, yes.

And why hurry with your big lot? In most cases it will be their very own PoT ^^

*eye rolls* yeah if you know nobody can steal your thing but you can take theirs let's do it!

I know I am exagerating not everyone sees it that way and I know there are good reasons to take some smaller lots but it stings just a little

edit: and I am not even involved I reserved a pot lot.

    Yes you are.
    Because it's not yours.
They have smaller deeds as well. So it is as well theirs.

    Yes you are correct.

I did not say that what they are doing is wrong. Because it is not.

I am just saying that it leaves a bad feeling for others. That's all

Port has mentioned this countless times in the hangouts (Starr stressed this point a number times in recent months, every time the debate heated up.). Using the forum search function I found this... (posted on Monday no less... :))

    Link
"We have built enough lots to cover every single lot deed sold in pledges and in the Add On Store plus we have an additional 30% more on top of that amount reserved for sale in-game via a lottery system. All of these lots are in NPC towns and Player Run Towns (towns that are mostly occupied by players and have no story NPCs)." - DarkStarr

According to this Darkstarr quote/link you have there -- the extra 30% is for the future "Lottery", so they are not in the game as yet; and they have said the "Lottery" would be in Release 33 or later.

When the lots in POTs are included in any estimate of how many lots are available it will give erroneous results, because many POT owners may not put out the maximum number of lots their POT can hold. POT's are based on amount of space available, and depending on the size of the lots put down more or less may be available -- for example a POT owner who puts down mostly Row-size lots can put down a larger number of lots, but a nearby POT owner who starts off putting down a Castle-size lot, will then only have a significantly lower number of lots left to put down, because the Castle lot requires so much space. As long as POT lots are not considered and only the lots in NPC and PRT towns are counted then they can have a number that will not change, because Portalarium built the Towns and the lots are already in place.

Meh. Dead horse and so on.
But still a valid point, i will admit that.
I wouldn't worry too much. There is plenty of space in NPC and PRT towns.
And if thats still not enough, there is plenty of space in PoTs as well.

I will sum it up for you.
Every sold deed will have a lot of it's size. +30% extra space right at the beginning with the landrush. This means now. This means 30% of all lots in PRTs and NPC towns will be unclaimed after the landrush is finished. PoTs are excluded from that so PoT space is on top of that.
No i have no link but as @cartodude already mentioned it's another dead horse.

I sometimes wish I'd done the same. :) It would have been a LOT cheaper. ;)

Oh this wasnt cheap by any means Baron 3 here. But this and Star Citizen I had to go big for because I was around for the original Ultima and the original Wing Commander...and now that Im old and had the cash..... I supported for my memories as much as anything else.

We're much alike, Your Excellency. Though my commitment to Shroud of the Avatar far outstrips my contribution to Star Citizen.

It's because they know you can't go and grab that castle, so they'll sell that spot for gold and then move to the castle lot. Typical mercantile/piratical tactics.
Been "working as intended" since they announced the system, if you can believe it.

I think that's generalizing and a little over-critical. I went up to LOTM because I wanted a town lot in a prime vendor location. I knew I was never going to get that as a Lord.

I don't think castles are going to get a lot of foot traffic. I'll probably end up placing the castle deed in city lot in a POT.
