As long as SotA gets a working SotA inspired crossbow before Star Citizen gets one. :D

I'd like to see that - also Seekers.

Because I don't think any ultima enemy every creeped me out as much as the seekers from Ultima 8. The sound effects would make me jump. I don't have a clip handy, but those things were scary.

I recognize the artwork but I'm afraid I don't remember much about U8 enemies. I'd like to see some more traditional Britannia mobs. I know several are pretty much out of question but there are a few that may still be viable. Like blood worms.. gazers.. etc

Please consider that players with a lot of time playing from the early hours to evening maybe grab all possible drops before some others are able to login.
What does it mean, bodyparts can no longer be buyed back or they do not drop bodyparts anymore?

Thanks for everything, but especially for these threads. Far more interesting and informative than the hangout itself (which has other value, of course). Thanks for the answers, the puns, and the hard work.

My understanding is they will no longer be able to be bought back. Just one more reason I won't be PvPing. Somewhat of a deal breaker for me personally. Total immersion killer. (among other things). But then.. the whole ransom system is an immersion killer to begin with.

@Bowen Bloodgood why immersion Killer? Dont get it exactly.
I think a bones from the one you have fighted and winned is ok.
I wouldnt mind if some of my bones are trophies for others, but maybe i'm missing something or just dont unterstand what you mean.
Isnt it immersion breaking if the winner gets nothing but gold?
But i think, although i am not against pvp or wouldnt try it, it's really impossible to get to a serious level to be competetive, therefore i think pvp scenes unfortunately wont see me. I just find it dull to have the ambitious pvpers and pk's with stats that more than Double mine and 10 -20 GM.
To them i am not even a sheep.
I dont want it balanced, because i think it cannot, but the unbalance we have isnt acceptable.

Back to topic. Why do you find it immersion breaking. What is it i dont get?

Someone kills you and takes your head.. they put it on display somewhere and days later you're walking by some building and see your own head.. which is supposed to be attached to your neck.. which is attached to the rest of your body.. on display in a window. How is it possible then for that to be YOUR head from YOUR body when you are alive and well with your own head firmly in place on your body? How is that NOT an immersion killer? It's a blatant in your face paradox on display.

As boring as it might sound, I'd like to see some more common stuff first (bats, giant rats, boars, mountain goats), and then see more monsters. Btw, what ever happened to the amoeboids (er gelatinous cubes)... that would be fun if they actually picked up loot and you could see it in their bodies.

Yes, now i understand what you mean.
Was it Age of Conan where you didn't die and just loose consciousness when you loose against a mob?
Don't remember exactly, but we have a lot of compromises to make when playing a roleplaying on a computer.
There are a lot of ways to make things better , but less people would buy such a game. You see where the mayor's is striving for and therefore games have this ridiculous unnecessary paradoxons.
To old to get upset about that :D

When someone laughs in your face, it's usually a "no", or at least, the opposite of whatever answer you wanted.
