R45 QA Server Access

@Berek What are you guys giving to those of us who are Dev+ members? What are you going to replace this with as a perk since this was a selling point in buying Dev+? You can't use something as an exclusive selling point and then give it away to everyone without replacing it. If so why don't you then give all players every pledge reward?

Can we get in qa game notifications of new builds now?

 

That's not even an argument. We already had that along with the early look and testing. You can't say just be happy with what you bought anyway because we are not taking it all away. The point is port has a bad habit of selling us something and then taking it away. You have to make up for it with something else when you take away something people paid for.

 

This isn't the thread for this concern. It's supposed to bring the new people participating in QA up to speed with the process. Please don't derail the effort, happy to participate in another thread about your topic.

 

Is there a changelog?

 

There's a QA document predicting what will be in this release in the R45 QA section.

However they don't post changelogs for each patch made in the QA leading up to live.

For some reason the R45 QA forums posts don't appear in my What's New list. It was nearly a day before I realized it was posted already.

 

Things change... SotA shifting focus to MMORPG, single-player/offline not being of importance anymore despite many giving money for a real SP mode, Dev+ being for everyone... This is a crowdfunded game, it changes during development according to the feedback of the players...

Unless you've created picture and video hosting facilities that I'm not aware of, it's impossible to comply with this requirement. You have to post pictures and videos outside of the QA forums in order to include them in bug reports.

 

Again not even an argument. The feedback from the players who did not pay for something will always be to give it for free. If they had given out the pledge rewards that you paid for for free you would not be saying this. The fact is no matter what else changes even in a crowdfunded game you can not take away what you promised. In fact when they tried to do the same thing with items bought for the holiday last year that was sold as only for the 2016 season but they put them back on the store the community revolted. I find it funny that mostly those who have not paid for Dev+ are crying to get the perks of Dev+.

 

I'm a dev+ backer, and as the game is getting closer to release, I see this as a favorable approach, and was actually hoping they would permit access to QA to all backers, so the game gets more feedback, and to make testing and development move faster. It doesn't make sense anymore to limit QA to dev+. Just my opinion.

So basically, your argument right now is that you didn't pay for access to the QA server but rather you paid to keep those less financially secure out of the QA server? And now that you are losing your exclusivity you are throwing a fit? You've had exclusive access for how long now? Did your perk specifically say it was going to be exclusive for the life of the project? I highly doubt it, as that would be a dumb developer move. How about stopping to think about what is going to be best for the future of the game you helped to fund? Having more bugs found earlier in the development process for a release is always going to be for the better.
