We are aware of a serious memory leak introduced with Release 49. This will show up in any scene with a large number of decorations (cue the hundreds of surprised reactions). :)

We have a fix that we are testing now that should go live with Friday's build.

This must be the reason I cannot get into Owls Head. Thanks @DarkStarr for the news.

Is it safe to assume this patch will go in before noon NBT? There is a release party with a VERY SPECIAL DJ scheduled for 2 p.m. NBT after all... ;)

Thank you @DarkStarr. The difference on my machine pre and post-patch was very distinct. Game runs like a dream now.

I have the same issue, it can sometimes take several attempts to load into towns.

I have to kill shroud using
    Code:
    kill -9 $(pidof 'Shroud of the Avatar.x86_64')
A work around is to start on world map and try a different entrance, if its a POT then you will just have to keep trying till it works.

    Code:

I was going to say something about the loss of memory... but I forgot.

With my 64 years of memory and 48Gb of RAM, you would think that I do pretty well with memory.
