Why is there after the Light Armor movement nerf no 100% unlearn for the skill?
The skill is no longer what it used to be!

Can we get at least a 100% unlearn with R55?

I wear heavy armor and this nerf affects me too.

The nerf wasn't to light armor, it was to all bonus movement effects while in combat, be that from sprint in light armor tree, dash in air tree, or potion of wolf speed

Point is, sprint is one of the few "good skills" in light armor.
No one wears it for its superior protection, many though for movement speed, slash it by half in combat and you do not see the problem?

I do not know how others think, but i took light armor for its speedy skill.

With that pretty much not an topic anymore why should i still use it?

I never said that I don't see your problem.

I said that as a heavy armor wearer I am also affected by this change. I pretty much the exact same movement speed buff while wearing heavy armor while using dash and potion of wolf speed as you do while wearing light armor.

So this wasn't a nerf to just "light armor"

That is another problem, imho a heavy armor user shoud not be able to run, swim and jump like a light armor user.

In light armour there is low or no fizzle. In heavy armour I have maximum fizzle. I think that is a big difference right there.

Speed is just the latest victim in the SotA Whack-a-Mole contest.

    Yes, for a full Mage.
But Light Armor is now useless for Archers, when i don't use high tier mage spells!
Heavy Armor is supreme in almost every aspect, compared to Light Armor.
Dodge is nice to have, but nothing to rely on...

A 3th armor skill tree like medium armor for leather would be nice.

Don't you get 100% exp back on all skills now using a scroll of unlearning? I definately got 100% unlearning a specialisation yesterday.

Only for the reason that leather and cloth (melee and mage) was put into one class of armor.

So right now we have basical caster =lightarmor

    all others = heavy armor

with the scroll of unlearning 90% and you need to buy it rmt (or grind gold and buy cotos)

It used to be 90% but now I believe it's 100% on everything.

    a) I never reached critical speeds (using sprint)
    b) setting an critical limit in combat for technical reasons instead putting an 50% penalty on combat speed would have been the right choice, because, technical reasons.
Slashing all speeds generally by 50% is the sledgehammer.

So now i am forced to quaff speed of wolf potions or use dash together with sprint so i reach my old level of speed that was in no way even close to the speed limit.

Therefore 100% exp refund, I go heavy armor and stop whining.

They can't, but only because of fizzle restrictions, which is not a very good way to implement it really, as it becomes more of a "can I spam that fizzling spell enough to get it to work" problem. I know for me in chainmail (with cloth gloves) I'm about 40% fizzle on dash when moving with some high skills in use. If I switch to full plate dash is pretty much 100% fizzle. A better system instead of "fizzle" would probably be a modifier on the strength of the spell cast, so plate can cast magic spells but they be super weak, but this would be such a major design change it would be virtually a different game to what we have now.

Because it should be an tradeoff.

Light armor squishy but fast, heavy armor mucho AC but slow.

There should be an reason WHY you wear heavy armor while tanking dragons, and that should not be "because i can run as fast as an light armor wearer"

    There should be an POINT

Right now it is an tradeoff fizzle versus AC

And melees (who are leather, like traditionally) can choose between heavy armor, heavy armor or heavy armor, right now.

There should be cloth armor (or light armor)
Leather armor, maybe with chain for the melee
    Heavy armor (dragon chewtoy)

each with its pros and cons

Alternative make an speedlimit the SI can handle, leave sprint alone.

You do not reach the speed limit with sprint alone, or dash alone, or wolf, only if you stack speed buffs you do.

So an limit on how fast an player can move during fights to not outrun the monsters SI would leave the one big defining advantage of light armor for melee/archer alone.

No need to tinker with fleet flute or all the other buffs, you stack them you eventually hit the speed limit during fights.

Also please consider halving the move rate of NPCs during combat. If the intent is to fix (insert broken tech here) then fine reduce all combat speed, not just Player Characters. Give Light armor wearers back what you keep stealing.
