We are going try a different strategy for the Release Post. Instead of the giant wall of text that duplicates a ton of the information inside of our task/bug tracking software JIRA we are going to output that data into a google sheet and publish it to the web and make the Release Post a shorter "highlights" version that includes this sheet as a companion. This will also help us more quickly get you information for QA testing.

Here's what that will look like and the list of fixed bugs and finished tasks as of 10/16/18:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...W36FxrDmF9ASjvV-2T1EtzaT6YTRE8orUDL2I/pubhtml

    Updated version as of 10/18/18:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...6vUMR4gviekAtrlAmiHw7So66p8qjPNcMmFoh/pubhtml

    Updated version as of 10/22/18:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...UexIXO09RTSR-FehlN-Bsq1AcGv3kLvLKrqFx/pubhtml

If you see a bug or task that doesn't appear to be fixed, please report it in the Bug Forums with the Key number (e.g., SOTA-12345).

The sheet does contain a lot of information for us to look over when QA goes live.

However, what's missing is if the current QA build contains those fixes or not. So it's still hit and miss as to what should be tested. Yes we now know what is going into the next release, but not if it's in the current build.

I agree it is a good format of what has been worked on, on a given day, though, I do have a question regarding logged bugs. Is there a single location we can see everything logged vs searching through archives?

I agree with @jiirc - I like the fact that more detailed "fixes" are listed. However, it doesn't show which build number the actual fix went in.

I think if that one piece of data gets added to the spreadsheet, it will save us testers a lot of time and save us from many "XXXX isn't fixed yet" bug reports.

One other bit of QA information that might be nice to know, and would give us a better idea of when things should be in, would be the lockdown date. That at least would give an idea of what state the build is in and whether we should expect the new features, systems, system changes, etc. to be in the latest build or not.

I want to know *exactly* what that task means. Because if it's forcing us out of FPO into MPO, my accounts are going on sale immediately.

It apparently means that you're in open mode while on the overworld or in town.

[edit] I'm fine with this change as it will make the game seem more populated.

Which is against everything we were told when we backed this game. Selective Multiplayer meant we could choose who we wanted to see, and never needed to engage with the larger player base if we chose not to.

This is a blatant change to the game, and not one that should be universally cheered. If they want to add an *option* for this, great. Incentivize it by adding an automatic Blessing or tweaking the multiplayer XP bonus. But @DarkStarr , if this goes live without an opt-out, you're going to lose players. Me and my four accounts will be the first out the door.

This is a good change and I am up for it. Don't forget it's a mmo everyone. Will make the games feels alive and won't affect farming area.

Don't forget if you don't want you don't have to talk to anyone or interact with us or them. Just do your things

    Good job port

It isn't actually, its billed as an RPG with a multi-player option, and a solo and selected group play option.

Right but don't know why people will be against the fact that the game feels more alive. Putting people up in town and overland map won't affect anything in my opinion... if yes tell me how?

For other their still the offline mode

It's easily fixed with an opt out option for those who absolutely don't want to be in multiplayer. But I think it's a good move, and should be on by default.

Hi there. Just some musings, not claiming theyre accurate or complete..
Matchmaking Mode = Party, Towns and Overworld = Open. Good?

I can think of at least one way this matters.

Lets say that my party decides to go open mode and pvp mode to increase our experience gain. Then, we finish. Now, I have to go to an oracle and unflag. I would prefer to do this in party mode so I will not be visible to malicious pvp players who might decide to follow me into kingsport and try to kill me before I can get to the oracle and unflag.
