Random Damage

Since R25 I've been getting hit for random DMG. No rhyme or reason, nothing in chat combat log. Debug shows the hits (see screenshots). It's about 1/6 my health and puts me into combat. Its weird. Got rid of the LB cloak just in case, but its still happening.

@Attenwood I'm gonna put the debug screenshots up when it happens, but they will all be just like the ones included I'm sure.

 

@Oba Evesor Are you doing anything when these occur? Could they happen even while standing still? Running around? Any scenes you have noticed them in more than others? How long on average does it take for it to occur after logging in?

It's so unpredictable. I really hate reporting stuff when I cant pinpoint a way to reproduce.
It happens on scene load, or if I've been in a scene for a while, running, walking, standing still. Doesn't seem to matter.
Party members have made note of it too. @Alley Oop, Help.

I'm going to keep posting screen shots. Its like 6 times a day, and sometimes two times in a row (the last screenshot).

 

I'll keep an eye on the timing of when I log in, to see if that is consistent.

Edit: The 10pts of DMG in the creenshots are when I was level 96, the 11 point one was level 97.

 

I haven't seen a pattern either. Npc towns, pots, adventure scenes, even once while using a crafting table.

 

Add me to this, this happens for no reason, I'll be pondering my deck for example at the deck creation screen, always at a safe spot, usually at the entrance to a zone, and suddenly my avatar gets hit mysteriously and I'm in combat mode and the deck build screen disappears! Noone is around. Noone to kill. Strange.

Doesn't happen often, maybe once every couple days, no way to reproduce, it just happens.

Just curious are you PvP flagged? Trying to pinpoint some commonality between us.
This bug bothers me, it can happen mid-fight too.

 

I am not PVP flagged and I was in Single Player Online, and I can say it happened again last night, in Deep Ravenswood, just logged in, resumed the scene. I was in the deck screen again (I mess with my deck a lot) and I was hit for around 140hp just standing there, I was near an entrance and no enemies were around. Nothing in the log. Mobs don't even hit me that hard.

I've suspected it can happen mid-fight but have never noticed this myself.. but it is a worry!

 

Yeah, I cant leave mine alone either, pretty sure Imma go blind soon.

Happens in SPO, friends only and Multi for me.

Anyway, could you /debug next time it happens. Just make note of the %of DMG done, and your level. Trying to see if the damage is scaling w/level.

When I was 96 it hit for 10.7333 DPS. At level 97 it hits for 11.666 DPS. I think those are %'s tho, because I lose about a sixth of my health.

 

I'll report back all I can, when it happens next.. so likely within 3 days I think

 

Just got hit by the mysterious thing.. was sitting in this area on the deck screen again, I had cleared the enemies already and was safely sitting in this room.
Hit for 138 dmg. Health was 556 max.
Adv level 77.

Arrgh! I cant find my screenshots from last night but I had another too, but it was for 9.777 DPS. I was solo in Chillblains, just finished one room running to the next. Boom hit for DMG!

So the DMG isnt scaling w/level that I can tell. All of mine have been btwn 9.7 and 11.6 DPS.

 

I'll keep an eye on mine.. so far that is the only 'DPS' line (and same value) relating to that hit so far.. not sure how that number translates to the ~140hit to myself but it must be their weird formulas... if the number changes, I'll mention it.


But DEVS: I am positive I'll be receiving more mysterious damage , assume my lack of posts here mean the same is happening, if the DPS number changes, I'll report it. If the damage hasn't struck me for a while, I'll mention it. If you need any more info.. or tests.. let me know!

I CAN sort of reproduce it, just by standing around lots and playing with my deck, it seems to go off when I'm doing that, but that could easily be coincidence.

I have experienced this in Crag Foothills, Deep Ravenswood, and Graff Gem Mines. I assume it is going to get me/us anywhere

Did I piss off the Oracle? I do kill fawns...
