Random Ressource Spawns

    why not have random ressource spawns?
    Would encourage to wander around, to explore and search for what you need instead of grind the same routes over and over again.
    Both should be random location and what reccource spawns.

    possible?

    The problem with this is that they would still need to be painted in. The current spawns are where they are and hand-positioned in a way that they work with the environment. Even if you paint in more possible spawn spots or set a hard limiter to make the current total available active nodes in a zone smaller than the spots available you’d still not have true random spots.

    When you found the nodes the first time did you know beforehand where they’d be or did you explore the area to find them before getting used to their spawn spots in order to make your rounds?


    Back in Star Wars Galaxies there weren’t nodes, but shifting zones to place harvesting equipment or to gather by hand with ranged intensity. The resources also weren’t hard-set and would change annually, their stats even different between each server. Not really adding much to the topic, but the concept reminded me of that old system.
