Rapid Fire + Specialization: still 8 shots?

So, I now have 80 Ranged Specialization and 100 Rapid Fire but I still only get 8 shots. What gives?

 

Without Ranged Specialization - you get the 9th shot at Rapid Fire 125.

With Ranged Specialization at 80 - you get a +20 "effective level" for your Rapid Fire.

So you'd get the 9th shot at Rapid Fire 105 (with Ranged Specialization at 80).

 

Wow, that sucks. So either GM specialization or 105 rapid fire....

 

Max shots is 10 which is 130 Rapid Fire and 80 Specialization. After they nerfed Rapid Fire, the extra arrow came at 125. Not sure what the combination is for 9 now. I had 125 Rapid Fire already when specializations came out. Ten arrows is nice, it did cost a lot of XP though.

 

I would leave specialization at 80 and get 105 Rapid Fire. That is a lot cheaper. Each arrow is a large damage boost. I had one hit for 286 the other day.

 

That's what I'm doing. I'm just so disappointed that the extra arrow is at 125 and not 120.

 

I agree. It was super nice when the extra arrow was at 100. It gave GM an extra meaning.

 

At least they un-nerfed ranged a bit (it seems like I do more damage).

 

I have not seen any thing official but I was ready to drop Ranged right before release due changes making me not enjoy it as much. Recently though I am having a lot more fun. Hitting harder and getting more crits.

 

not 125, if you want 10 arrows its suggested the 80 spec and 130 rapid fire.

 

Without specialization, the ninth arrow is at 125 Rapid Fire.
