Recent change to how XP is applied?

I've been on hiatus for awhile. Essentially just logging in to hit the Oracle and keep my homes refreshed.

Roughly within the past 2 weeks though I've noticed a change, or think I have anyway, in how XP is applied to skills that are training. One of my alts had a skill in the low 60's and I figured I might as well train it up so every morning after I'd collected my Oracle welfare gold and XP I'd summon my pet Turkey.

Prior to what I think is a change I'd gotten the skill to 90 or 91 and each summon had reached the point that it'd apply almost all of the 10K XP I'd gotten from the Oracle. This morning, after ~2 weeks, the summon only applied 1333 XP.

So .. has the way that xp is applied changed? Is my character bugged? Inquiring minds want to know.

@Elgarion can you shed a little light on this?

 

I think some taming skills were set to learn faster than they should have been. Chris recently changed those to learn slower.

It was odd that almost 10k XP was being applied to summoning my turkey one day and then 1333xp the next.
