Red items stuck in my inventory

Why are these items red and stuck in my inventory? I cannot select them and/or move them at all. They are just permanently stuck in my inventory.

I was retrieving them from my chest container and then the message came on that said "the server is going to end in 60 minutes would you like to switch servers now?" so I clicked "Yes" and it zoned into the new server, and then I noticed the items i had just put into my inventory became red. Have I lost these items? How can I get them back?

 

You need to restart the client and all will be fixed.

After restarting the red items disappeared totally from my inventory. >_<

 

Red items means they aren't properly synchronized between the client and server. Sometimes they get stuck out of sync. The item might actually still be in a box or something where you had last put it.

 

then they are back in the container?

 

thats what i cant say for certain.. i wasn’t expecting them to disappear so i didnt take note of the amounts i had in my chest before restarting.. >_<

if it happens again i will test it!

 

The items almost certainly returned to the location you attempted to take them from when the issue occurred.
