just wanted to say DarkStarr, I agree with all you just said, It is INDEED alot of work that regular people just don't understand just how much goes into coding and debugging etc... I know this because my Hubby is a programmer.... well a retired one :) and I had some programming in business school, and I tell you chasing down bugs from lines and lines and lines of code can be mindboggling .... good work so far Darkstarr ... bravo!!!!!!

Perhaps they're already doing this, but as a compromise, only turn off interior decorations for houses beyond a certain radius...

It is currently based on the lot boundary but we are going to investigate a larger radius in R17

A compromise Idea in regards to objects culling.

Is it technically very hard to exclude the basement from "item culling" and still have enough performance increase because if that?

So only items in a house in the higher floors or areas are not loaded?

    Why am i suggesting this.

Basically a avatar will see most of the times into a house on ground level through a window. Rarely through windows or openings ob higher ground.

    Sort of :

If item location higher then xy pixels from groundlevrel 0 do not load until avatar enters lot?

object culling - Thank You! Maybe I can actually go into large cities without my framerate dumping. I dont need to see all the piles pixel crack in every single player house when Im just trying to make a bank run.

Performance improvements are much appreciated. If the Interior Object Culling is a part of it, I'm a fan... big fan. Owl's Head and Ardoris are now enjoyable.

    Devtracker:

    bug entered
    bug entered
    bug entered
    bug entered
    bug entered

Knowing that you read every bug report is enough for me without posting that you read it - but perhaps "bug entered" could be filtered from the devtracker.

I would have suggested the bug forums entirely, but then when devs ask for further details sometimes we might have had the same issue and can provide those details. And I find the devposts in those forums interesting. I can self-filter bug reported and skip it, but it does clutter up that feed :)

I could do that, or I could fix the bugs.

    ;)

    That is the right place.

He is huddled with a bunch of skeletons.

The easiest way to get there is to turn right into a cave that is right near the entrance. When you come out of the cave there is a bunch of skieletons. The guide is just to the right of the stairs.

Are you creating the trees yourself, or are you purchasing them? Or, more specifically, is there any chance we're going to see a Dev+ Tree-Asset pack anytime (soon ;) )? And would you happen to have enough 'different' trees so you could get multiple assets for harvest-able trees instead of just one standard, so that the spotting distance skill actually becomes useful for them?
I'm going to be blunt and honest. I'd have long since bought one of the 'Elven armour sets', if I'd have some remote idea on which one I need and if they are going to be 'comparably useful'. I don't know if there's going to be support magic past the basic healing spell (if there is, I'd instantly want to be a support mage-elf) and if not, I'd likely choose to become an elfish warrior. But would the armour do me any good past the first week? Give me some insight on the planned design, I want lawyer you and I'd instantly hit the purchase button.

I believe the notes have been modified now - to note that for this release the "kill em once and for all by using magic" is NOT in place. See below:
