Release 5 House Decorating Contest

Houses, decorations and player towns OH MY! As many people know in R5 they are looking at us again to test houses and they have also put in merchants to sell decorations to make things look even better! I have wandered the land thus far and seen many a decorated house, and still many unclaimed land plots. Therefore, because i love to see what ideas people come up with for how they would set up their homes. I on behalf of Avatars Radio would like to have a little "Best Decorated House Contest".

The rules are simple!

1. Claim stake to your land and build up the house you would like
2. decorate it the way you think would look best and peak interests in others to come visit your house
3. take screenshots and post them here with location (what city? /loc ?) so that people can see it first hand

As many know we are a community station therefore we will have winners decided by the community! (you vote by clicking like on their post)

Winners will not only receive special recognition of their decorating talents known throughout all of New Britannia (possible future career in interior decorating for you?!) but special shout-outs on the Community radio station!!

Wow! I have already seen some amazing starts on GREAT homes and Great decoration!

The only problem my Duke Island Castle in Kingsport came pre-decorated!!!

 

I gave up trying to find a house to claim. It would be nice to be able to pull up a map and see open lots.

Ok, Here in my Knight's Founder Home. Area: Westhollow Loc: (54.3, 32.2, 161.1). Stop By.

 

I started this series before I saw this thread, but consider this my 'entry'. Though it's far from being 100% furnished as of yet. I'm trying to include only items I crafted myself, or have found. A few items, rugs, crafting stations, and paintings were of course purchased from the merchants in Owl's Head.



Added some more stuff. This'll likely be the last Wizard Tower video. On to other stuff!



And the final part. This is now as furnished as it's going to get. Mostly just did it for myself to have a record before stuff gets wiped in the next release.

 

Hello and welcome to my humble, Bone Throne abomination maze home. I live in the HOA-free town of Holtrot, if you wish to visit the coordinates are: (-88.1, 25.0, -104.7). With a keen eye you should spot the house upon entering the zone.


Here you will see my lawn, beautifully landscaped with Dragonbone Thrones. To the untrained eye, you might think entry into the home is impossible. However, I assure you it is possible to navigate through the maze.






If you need time to ponder your approach through the maze, please head to the rear of the property where you will find an outdoor sitting area complete with books, and scratch paper, at your disposal.






You will find a fromage and charcuterie plate waiting for you in the home. Please feel free to enjoy it, and thank you for visiting my Bone Throne abomination maze home!

Hi ho!

I decorated my house in a very simple way, but anyway I want to share with you all. So, welcome to the tavern of The Drunken Llama!* (* provisional name, pics are not in the best res)

I used this time also the 3 story wood & plaster, since everywhere is full of Knight houses. Where is then? Very easy, The Druken Llama will be one of the first houses that you can see in Owl´s Head main road, also next to the moongate:





We can prepare some traditional food here. I tried to work more with the walls, but actually that part of the housing is a "little bit" bugged:





Of course the main door is open to everyone (without poltergeists today):





The meeting room. I tried to make some kind of heart shape with the fruits:

In the 3th floor I just chose a dark altar for the oracle:





In the backdoor you can see the moongate and relax there while working hard:

In the yard (surrounded by Knight houses, of course) I tried to make a mysterious atmosphere with the red candles, but the light is too much weak:

WoW! just WoW! Some Great pictures so far, and absolutely wonderful ideas! I am really liking Tarsin "bonechair yard" ((we need bone piles!!)). And Kaynith Stormcaster bookcase, so painstakingly wonderfully lined up!!

My home is currently at Boenmar (is that the town name? I mean that town far south, following the road all tghe way down). Here it is:

(btw, I forgot to take pictures on the outside, sorry - but it is a house with the Rustic 3-story village home model - it has a brazier, a milling , a smithing and a smelting sations on the front.

How'd you get the books to lay sideways?

 

I think it depends on the book. Some books lay down, others sideways, and I don't know if you can flip that... What I did was loot the books from all NPC houses I could find, it is probably how I got these ones.

Speedy Beware in that picture from Tarsins lawn of skulls, has a great house outside Owls head. Its really well done, shame no pictures here
Think it might have been there, or in fact it might have been the keep with the fountain below. To many i seen!

I have seen many nice sights and some weird ones on my travels today.

This one in particular took my fancy. Was grateful for though after a long day of running around.Hoping we can get similar in the store soon
