Gahh!! I just realized I'm on vacation the week before release. I don't think I'll be able to take a day on short notice right after a vacation, either. LAME. I'm going to miss it!

Dogs as vendors = lots of slobber all over your order.

Not sure any of that makes sense except maybe the imp. But one problem I see in all of this is players recognizing whether a deco pet/servant is vendor or not; if they don't they'll likely ignore them...

Of course, you could advertise through nameplates but that's already unideal for many reasons. Probably there could be special "sales" emotes, though personallyI still think a vendor bark system would work, like we had with merchants in U7.

I'm still looking forward to other functionality around servants... Both as deco where they might be able to help in player made quests, and also as pets... I can imagine an imp holding a darklight or lamp for you, or playing a lute in a band.

 

I would pay good money for this. And if could get a westie, town/city bundle level of money.

I would like if you could give them a line of text, though. Then I could name them a people name instead of a store name, and they could occasionally wave and shout what type of goods they are offering.

 

So if I pick up my vendor to apply a pattern, you said the vendor empties out. Where does it empty to? Asking for a friend who might hyperventilate if stuff goes missing...

 

to the banks of whoever listed the items. it keeps them straight by lister, not just dumps them on the lot owner.

It would seem that Lord BRITISH might want some normal tea in the world he created and since he created it, he should get it sooner rather than later. When it becomes available, I will be happy to make you a cup, M'Lord. *bows*

Hmmmm... this makes me wonder. I'm not saying this reply indicated this in no way but...
Ever since the end of the Beta for Ultima Online and other games, like EverQuest etc, there have been *events* like an apocalypse, invasions, or some world shaking cataclysmic event. I wonder if there will be such a thing for SotA, and if this was a subtle hint of things to come. Perhaps just before release... or maybe... something special to kick off the release and set the tone for the game for the release and new players alike. Hmmm

 

They said during Kickstarter that one benefit of having an Overland travel map is they can modify it easily based on events, like a shardfall opening up a new dungeon..
