Release 68 Lot Permissions Migration Issue

At the start of the release there was an issue where items on plots marked private, or for tenants, were not correctly migrated to the new permission system. In some cases this could have allowed users who did not originally have permissions to take an item, to do so. However, a fix has been applied and this is no longer the case. We also have a list of the limited number of items that were moved (either by their owners or not) before the fix, and can address any concerns in support.

 

Tonight we performed performed part 2 of the data migrations related to the switch-over to the new permission system. (Part 3 really, but who's counting..)
The earlier migration marked some items for "private" under the new system where they had been marked private under the old permission system. That had the affect of making some items inaccessible to some who previously had access. ( The new system considers "private" in a much more stricter sense that the old system. ) Today's migration adds a flag to the affected items so that they behave as they did under the old system.
