    What are the Lichs in the overland skeleton encounters immune to? I know that poison and rend don't affect them but are they impervious to mez and stun as well?

    Will torpid torment work against them as it does on enemy mages?

    I just smash the crap out of them with my big hammer (or my Meteoric 2 Handed Spear). I also now have WAY more death resistance.

    If I recall correctly, Lich’s have massive magic resistance, so melee is more effective. That has been my observation when killing them.

    That scratches out the use of most summoned elementals except for earth (which I don't have). Got to start raising my death ward skill by spamming heals. Now where did I store that longbow with the necromancy wards again? :confused:

    My ice elemental looks spiky and ferocious but hits like a wet noodle. It's going to take a lot more work before he starts getting interesting.

    I bet it's way better than the air elemental. I've complained many times to no avail.

    I'm 100% mage (and a pretty low end one at that) which of course makes everything harder for me. If I can draw one away at a time and run/heal as needed, I can sometimes take all three of the encounter ones down with 0-2 deaths of my own. I think the main spells I use are meterorstorm, banish undead, ring of fire, fireball, flame fist, fire arrow. I also summon my fire elemental who is very handy at doing damage with her spells and sometimes will draw them away from me.

    We should group together one time and take on the lichs. I have an archer configuration with combat pet and life spells (including resurrect and healing blast) which might combo well with your mage.

    I took my death mage deck out for a quick spin and I had trouble keeping my focus up before. Now, I run completely out before finishing a bandit encounter. And that's before the elder wolves show up. I guess I wasn't one on Chris's chart when he decided to make things cost a bit more. But then, I'm always off the lower end of the charts. :(

    What skill level is your Heightened Awareness, Train Intelligence and Inner Calm?

    You may want to evaluate training the Inner Calm skill. I currently have this to level 91 and provides the following: -11.4% Glyph Focus Cost and -11.4% Magic Glyph Focus Cost. Though, for level 80 Inner Calm will cost you 718,188 adventure experience.

    That may or may not be something you wish to invest in. That’s up to you to decide.

    You can however just test to see if you would find this skill useful to you by training that skill on the QA server, if you have the time and wanted too.

    Two words: Greater Focus potions. My archer/mage uses Air Shield, so focus is vital to me. Potions were buffed a lot, so a single greater focus returns around half my focus now.

    Are you using tap soul a lot? When fighting non undead mobs I found that figuring out how to use tap soul effectively and often, really helped a ton.

    Speaking of which, there has been mention of tweaks to the Death tree to make it easier for death mages to handle undead mobs.

    What ever happened to that?
