    OMG, I Can hear the open PvP, full loot guys now ... if Europe can have a server why can we have one too. Or maybe those guys won't think of it?

    Oops, I opened my mouth and let the cat out of the bag.

    However, I guess the server can maybe act like an instance master and guarantee a certain ping rate back to Portalarium.

    Not true. Only like 1 or 2 guys have asked for a separate server. The rest of us think it's crazy to have a separate shard.

    FYI I don't think Chris said anything about creating a European "Shard", he only said he was going to put a server out there and never said anything about creating a separate world.

    awesomeness... I will let a few of my European peeps who haven't pledged yet know this is coming in the future sometime... was one of their big concerns that kept them from pledging....

    -I'm going off-topic here for a second.. House amplifiers should rarely(hopefully never) be used. They can cause more issues than they fix, the proper way to do it is ensure good levels at the tap... which if the system is properly maintained and setup can be done.

    Yes, as other said, I'm sure the same persistent world, just a closer (better latency) connection. That can especially help if the server has an excellent connection to the US so if you have marginal service in europe it wont translate it practically unusable service by the time it reaches the US. (As it appears Gothic may have).

    Agreed.. ping from Pretoria to Europe is around 200-260 ms... on a good day :)
