Details: When trying to fill in the missed spots (round AOE on square planters, really???) I can't plant in some spot with the AOE. But, planting in these spots the old way works fint.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) 16 larger planting beds (8 beds x 2)
2) Try to fill all spots with AOE planting alone

Hmm. We cannot repro just yet. Can you let us know how it goes in the next build please? We even tried targeting off center a bit.
Is anyone else seeing this?

 

I'm on 556 now. the "use a seed from the utility bar" doesn't work at all now. haven't figured out how to do the AOE planting in this build yet.

 

@Lexie, i was wrong about using the seed from the utility bar. I don't get the round target anymore. but, if click on the seed in the utility bar and then click on an empty spot in a bed, it does trigger the seed spreading animation. but, nothing is planted and i get "You used Sow Seeds but hit nothing!" in the logs.

Yes, this should be fixed. I can't repro it at all. Also if you don't have all the reagents (water) it won't work properly and will give you a green single target (so confusing feedback).
That part is being worked on as well so it doesn't look like it is broken...

 

This might have been different in previous builds, but in 557 when I didn't have water in my inventory, a message showed up in the chat box saying I was missing a reagent. I don't remember getting the circle to plant at all. Since you can still plant using the old method, I would expect a failure to still show the old style square if your cursor was placed over a point on the planting bed. It's not really indicative of a failure, but of the old planting system.
