[Repro Needed] Running won't stop

Title: Can't stop running
Reproduction Rate: Occassional
Blocker? NO
Details: Sometimes the avatar will be running (either with W key or mouse) when the key is released, the avatar continues to run/walk.
Can't stop running, press S to go back and when released continues running forward.
Sideways / back etc no change. ESC will pause but when exited menu, running starts again.
When the chat box is clicked, the avatar stops but when focus is taken out of chat, they run again.
After several minutes or restart, issue is gone.

Steps to Reproduce: Press W and run. Only occurs occasionally

What happens when you press W again? Does this make you stop? I am asking because I suspect a stuck key issue with your keyboard (this happens with my keyboard occasionally).

 

No keys are stuck.
I can switch (alt tab) to another window and it does not show any keys down.
If I switch back, the Avatar runs again.
Pressing W does not stop it.
This condition occurs with running forward and backward at times.

It just occurred today in Greymark Forest.
I let the avatar backup against the rock and shoot bears until the running stopped by its self.

Also, would you happen to be using any 3rd party hardware/software input devices ( flight controls/pedals/xbox/ps4/steering wheel ) ?

 

I have a Tartarus V2 keypad that I use on some of my computers.
The problem did not seem to be related to the keypad since it occurred on a machine that did not have the keypad installed and on one where it was installed. But that does bring up an interesting thought.

The issue has not occurred since Friday.
I use a Logitech wireless gaming mouse on all of the affected machines.
This may be the problem=>
(The batteries on the mouse died on Friday and that could have been causing the problem)

I will keep checking to see if it occurs again and update the thread when I find something if it happens again.
