    Hi,
First of, thanks to all who are involved in this wonderful service to the SotA community.
    Love your work.
Secondly, I designed this blazon on Coren's generator:
(per wavy pile argent and azure chief sable voided ( ankh or) pale sable voided ( heart gules ermine-spot tenney))
but rather than an ermine-spot charge, I was hoping to get an earth tree or something similar.
    Does this work?
    Thanks

    Hi there.
Thank you for the kind words.

"Per wavy pile argent and azure" is fine.
"chief sable voided" and "pale sable voided" I think will be dubbed line heraldry, and not allowed, but we can ask.
"Ankh Or" in chief sits on the azure, and works fine.
"Heart Gules" sits on Azure, and is color on color, so breaks the rules. We could fix that by outlining the heart with copper, argent, Or, or sable.
"An earth tree tenney" would sit mostly on azure, so would also break the color on color rules, unless we make it copper, Or, or sable, or outline it with one of those.

As a side note, we've done away with tenney. Through history it has been used as both brown and orange, so we decided to use those colors and dump tenney.

A visit to the Start Here thread will lead you to the color chart and rules.

Sorry, I did read the start here colour rules, but didn't apply them :)
How is this (assuming the voided sables are allowed, which I'm hoping cos I think it looks awesome):
per wavy pile argent and celeste chief sable voided ( ankh or) pale sable voided ( heart gules fimbriated or ermine-spot sable))
I think celeste works beter than azure too

That would work, assuming the voided ordinaries are allowed.
We just need an artist that can fimbriate to draw that up!
I've tried, but it's beyond my skills.

I think the voided ordinaries are something we'd need to actually get a vote on. My first instinct is "probably not"... but then... they really do just look so cool. lol So we'd need to have a sort of "pro-con powwow" and discuss it.

Could I have this in place of the ermine-spot? Probably all in sable due to colour on colour.
If the voided ordinaries are a no go. Could I remove the pale ordinary, but keep the chief, maybe double it up, and consider it as a bar/barrulet?

Does (This) look anything like what you're looking for? (substitute the tree for the chalice)

    Almost.
    Field should be 'per pile'.
If the voided chief ordinary is not permissible, will go chief ordinary with barry treatment tincture argent and sable.
    Also charge layout 'in pale'.
(per wavy pile argent and celeste chief barry argent sable ( ankh orange) heart gules fimbriated sable ermine-spot sable in pale)

I think I'm starting to like this one better

Sorry about the long wait, we're still working on getting more tree charges made.
In the meantime, here's a quick render of what it would look like. Once we have all the tree charges you'll be able to take a look and see any are good.
As far as I can tell, it should be alright, but I'll wait and hear from others.

Not so wild about the single green ankh, it seems out of place somehow - but otherwise I really like this device now, personally :) Very imaginative and unusual without getting super busy.

I wasn't expecting it any time while Release 5 was up :)
    I like the tree too.

Thanks. Wavy per pile & tree represent ocean and forest, my Avatar is going to be a pure adventurer. Ankh is spirituality towards the virtues. And heart in spanish is Corazon.
I'm not really into the green ankh either, chose the colour because of what it represents. Would prefer Or, but not allowed, what would you think if it was bleu celeste?

I was doing some experimenting, and I really liked this. I hope you feel the same way :)

If the ankh is to represent spirituality or reverence, may I suggest argent on a chief sable? I do love the look of the bleu celeste, but also worth considering is that it will render quite small. Since the ankh is a rather thinly defined charge (as they go), the added contrast of argent on sable might be a cherry on top sort of benefit. Just my two cents. :)

Why would Or not be allowed? If it was on the argent field, sure, but it's on the sable chief. Also, charges on the chief are frequently tripled, just to give them more weight?

The Or ankh was the original reason I tried a full sable chief. But I was experimenting and I *personally* liked the celeste. Anyway
Here's the Or for you to compare.

    These are all good ideas.

Good point. The solidness of the chief sable just seems a bit intense though.
I tried a chief sable enarched and fimbriated with argent, and a single ankh or. Doesn't seem so encroaching. Thoughts?
