    This guy must be really lonely.
    No matter how many times a day he sees me, he always wants me to stop and ask him to open the gate.

    Vexing.

    just reach through the gate and open it yourself :) the handle on the other side just needs to be visible to click and the guard "Janet" can not be between the camera and handle.

    You can also select a different entry point if you have discovered the other 3 (unless it’s under a siege).

    Oh, my. You expect an incredibly busy guard to remember all of the thousands of folks that need entry to her town? She's not a Captain, or even a Sergeant. And the Lord Marshal must be protected, you know.

    The guards need some dialog. I know they didn't have any in the earlier ultimas, but it would be nice if they had a bit more personalities and the occasional guard related quest. Like, can you take over my post while I run an errand ? And then something happens :)

    I think she just needs glasses, soon as we are close enough to ask for the gate open, she can recognise us or remember our voice to let us through.

    Yeah, at one point you had to use the guards to open it. Guess they were too afraid you Outlanders would break the lever back then!

    Resolute gate nerf....you guys crack me up.

    Maybe, but I bet I'm not the only one who is hesitant to post a positive discovery for fear that it is unintended and gets removed.

    If you think that's rough, wait until someone gets in her way when her animation triggers and glitches her into the wall. That causes quite the traffic jam as folks work out how to reach through the gate.

    During sieges, all NPC town gates should be closed and require a guard to open them... but only during sieges.

    Is that still happening? We put some fixes in place to try to stop that, although we were not 100000% sure it would work in all scenarios.
