[Resolved?]Game crash and lengthy log in

1. Reproduction Rate: every time
2. Blocker? yes
3. Details: Since the patch before last I had noticed more scene crashes than before but today it's crashed every time I've accessed the Carpentry table. Started recording times of hang at the table and time taken to log in after the second crash.

   55s hang on carpentry table

   Leaving town
   1m hang, no crash

   35s hang, no crash
   
   45s hang on carpentry table
   "Downloading latest version information" flashes on screen
   5m 35s log in from launcher
   
   Tailor table, 20s hang, no crash
   
   Carpentry
   52s hang, Crash
   
   15s, Launcher crashed
   
   5m 50s log in from launcher
   
   Tanning, 15s hang, no crash
   
   Textiles, no hang, no crash
   
   Alchemy, no hang, no crash
   
   Smelting, 20s hang,no crash
   
   Smithing, 6s hang, no crash
   
   Milling, no hang, no crash
   
   Carpentry, 47s hang, crash
   
   5m 47s log in from launcher
   
   After a couple of hours I'm going for a long walk ;-)

   (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017)
   3.4 GHz Intel Core i5
   8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
   Radeon Pro 560 4096 MB

 

The only other thing I could think to do was re-install the Launcher (I've no idea why it would make a difference though) and on trying the carpentry table it worked fine. Didn't want to try it again until I'd done all the carpentry I wanted so maybe more later ;-)

 

Used the carpentry table several times to see if it would crash and it didn't. Came on with no delay either. So don't know what that was all about. Sorry to have troubled you XX

It's okay! I really appreciate you updating us. It prevents us from trying to repro something over and over when it seems to have mysteriously vanished. I am hoping this is a one time fluke but if it comes back around again we shall take a look.
