[Resolved]No sound!

this started with the release monday, starting sota would sometimes start with no sound. Today MS threw me the lovely patch so its done its thing, and now I cant seem to get any sound. Im still trying..

While I dont think it is a sota thing specifically its hard to diagnose when theres no real error other than things like

Start:init ERR_OUTPUT_INIT - Error initializing output device.

which I assume is sota trying to say it didnt get my sound device which is working for every other app I have that makes sounds.. Youtube, chrome, discord...


Any pointers would be appreciated cos ive restarted, Ive poked things. and its not seemingly making any difference

 

Hmm finally found an option that seems to have fixed it..

There was an option in my realtek drivers for allowing exclusive use.. turning it off game me sound but as I had no other apps running I dont see why I didnt get sound in the first place.

 

i think there's a fairly new option in shroud to mute audio when shroud is not the focus. that might have been conflicting too.

 

Nope I checked and unchecked that on hope.. im leaving this here in case the MS patch screws with others in the same way
