Does the music ever continue? We made a change so that there is a fixed % chance that the music track for a particular scene starts with silence. It sounds like that may be the case on occasion when you port around and it fades to silence for a bit?

Yep - it does come back - it just seemed odd, to always fade out during a scene load, since that's probably a good time to have music ?

Hrm, it is possible that during scene load the music went to the next track, and that next track happened to be silence. It shouldn't move on to the next scene's music until the loading screen fades.

This is happening for me as well, except not just on scene load.

For example, opening the game now I got no title music. Eventually I loaded into Ardoris where the music started.

I have also noticed that the scene music now takes a minute or 2 to change to the next track (There is just silence in between)

@shathiell - I've logged in to no title music also - I think this is definitely a bug?

@Undone A suggestion - would be to have a 'music interval' slider in the audio options - to control how often music kicks in, similar to Guild Wars 2:

Looks like our startup scene does indeed have a 25% chance of silence which is unintended. I'll see if I can slip this fix in to our next patch.

I have an internal task to review the 60-120s randomized silence injection dependent on player feedback. Adding something like that should be doable but we want to avoid adding even more options if at all possible =O
