Lets say you have an avatar named "Joe".

You walk up to NPC <whomever>

You start having a friendly chat.
You introduce yourself, and say, "Hi, my name is joe".

    NPC says "Well met, joe"

    Then, you say:
    "Hi, my name is Joe"

    NPC says "Well met, Joe"

Given that there cannot be two different avatars named both "Joe" and "joe", it seems a little odd that case exact match is forced on introducing oneself to NPCs.

Hmm. Since it is designed to say the name the way you typed it, I'm not sure what the bug would be here.

Your real avatar name will be used if you enter any part of it, using your avatar's correct case. Otherwise it will accept whatever you enter.

The point is, this (allegedly) counts towards fixing your "Truth" virtue. It's a major pain to have to constantly capitalize just the name. If I'd known the game was going to be this pedantic, I'd not have capitalized my name at all.
