[Responded] QUEST ITEMS THREAD

I found a few items in my backpack, and not in inventory,
but I think, some of them are part of Quests?

The Ardoris Students quest:

Open Amulet of Testimony can be sold, it no longer has any use.

Many books and letters that are found in the world are not specifically defined as quest items.

The Dread Artifact reagents are not intended to be treated as quest items; the ability to delete them if you choose will be added next patch.

But items such as "Everyone needs Courage" are nontradeable.

Are only the "main" Quest Items marked as Quest Items? (and will be removed with the quest reset?) And "side quest" items are not marked as Quest Items?

Just trying to understand the distinction for which quest items get officially marked as "Quest Items". Thanks!

 

Stickying thread as I think questions such as these are going to come up frequently.

 

The Shroud itself isn't a quest item at the moment.

 

The dread relic items need to become quest items so that they can be hidden. They are non-tradeable, and visiting the Oracle now forces them into your inventory. It didn't happen before because the relics used to be in my bank when I visited the Oracle.

Also, I still have an old version of The Cleansing Manifesto which is non-tradeable and can not be destroyed. Can someone please at least make it destroyable? Tradeable would be even better.

 

@Lum the Mad - Everyone Needs Courage is one of the Books of Virtue, which are non-tradeable, and some of of the rest of which have already been turned into quest items:
The Chains of False Beliefs
The Courageous Mother
The Fearful Rabbit
The Lion Tattoo
Truth Is Rewarded
...those are already quest items.

The original post mentions multiple books of virtue that need to be added.

Other items in my inventory and bank that need to be added:
- Diplomatic Note for Korabar
- An Artist's Journal
- An Ancient Obsidian Dispatch (which I have quantity 120 of for some reason)
- Ancient Experimental Logbook 1
- Book of Mighty Weapons
- Letter from Emily to Quincy
and I think Japeth's Poem too

By the way, I also have an hoe, which can't be destroyed, too And yes, a but thread was posted ...

 

We're going to make these destroyable in case you never want to use the Oracle-granted ones.

Will make it destroyable. Pretty sure it's part of a possible quest turn-in so can't make it tradeable, sorry.

 

My goof on that one, will make all the virtue books quest items.

This is a rare seasonal item, not a quest item. Will make destroyable/tradeable (if you destroy it you are a bad person and should feel bad and reconsider your choices in life)

The Statue of Virtue (that I got for turning in the quest books) is now in my pack as a quest item and I cant place it in my house because it is a non-tradable quest items...

 

That will be fixed next patch so you can place it.

In build 664 - they are no longer marked as Quest Items, but they are still nontradeable, and cannot be destroyed.

 

After having the bogman arm crafted into a bogman club, I killed another bogman and got another arm. The hermit will not except another arm and I cannot delete it.

[edit] I also ended up with a Ghostly Echo Essence that I can't delete.

After #46 update we can hide quest items in inventory. If option is ON and items are hidden they also invisible in quest item transfer window (window that appers when you transfer quest item to quest NPC).

how and where could you do this? Where to find the master woodcrafter ?
I assumed this could be the huntsman Sven, but he didn't react on any keyword about crafting ...
