Details: The 7th slot of the hotbar disappear after each launch
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Launch the game and login
2) put a skill on the 7th slot
3) Quit the game
4) Launch the game and login
5) Notice that the slot is empty

Are you switching between accounts when this happens?
I ask because @liz_the_wiz is seeing something similar when switching to a third account.
It's not something that is easily repro'd so if there is something you do that may be unique here, it like using multiple accounts, it might be related.

i thought this had to do with the fact that that spot is linking to an item in your inventory, I have a sheet of music in that exact slot and the same issue happens to me pretty often

 

try reproing with the slot being used by a useable item form the inventory, like a sheet of music, happens to me when switching between laptop and pc

 

this also happens to skills .. it seems to be a random number in one sense but the same for each character
