[Resolved] Water elemental died, casts to re-summon fail

    Blocker? yes I solo. I need my darn water pet
    Details:

    got a little rushed by some elves no biggie pet took one for the team, but now I cant cast a new one.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    pet died, casts now seem to work but dont.

    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit

    More information may be needed here. You say your pet died. What is it that you are attempting that isn't working?

    casting a replacement.. its very repeatable, if you zone out and back you can then cast the next (sorry if it wasnt clear @Lord Subtleton )

    No problem. The unclear part is still the same though. What action are you attempting that is failing? => "cast the next" ?

    Um (Im clearly needing to go to bed.. as I thought it was very clear now) the replacement water pet..

    I think they mean the water elemental died, but they cannot summon a new one?

    OK confirmed. If a summoned pet is killed, you can't summon a new one. Tested with a Wisp.

    Let wisp get killed. Killed enemies. Try to summon new Wisp, successfully cast it, does not actually summon one. It's still stays dead. (See pic)

    hey @Lord Subtleton - I posted a bug without looking that the marvelous @liz_the_wiz had already posted something similar!

    I found some more info tho -- once this bug is happening - NO elemental can be summoned OR pet, using a whistle -- however - if after using a whistle to summon a pet, you subsequently change scenes - the pet will show up when you enter the scene.

    -- also - upon quitting 100% and reloading the game, my summoned pet was there and I dismissed it -- I tried casting Summon Lich - and it is not appearing..

    I did actually mention it works again as long as you zone.. :) I also thought "water pet" was fairly explanatory, but apparently not.. this is what happens when you post after a long day and its real late and you should be in bed.

    Thanks for all of the posts. Question for you: If you wait around for the corpse (of the elemental) to go away, can you then summon a new elemental?

    I'll go check, I know if you summon one while you have one, it doesnt summon a new one

    Nope. Doesnt seem to, I couldnt find obvious remains of water pet, but, I went about killing off what I had sent my pet to sacrifice itself on and looked around for a body, nothing.. tried to summon.. Nothing

    I just tested it too :p
    When the water elemental dies, there is no corpse - or if there is, it vanishes almost instantly.

    The interesting part of the bug - is when it's happening - if you summon a pet (not an elemental) -- it won't show up.. but if you enter another scene, it's there when you enter (don't have to summon it).

    I wanna say some like 20 mins later.. Im still in zone, still cant summon one, so it doesmt seem to be a time thing

    PS of course its still consuming reagents
