Resurrection should decrease death decay!

    I think that Resurrection should decrease the amount of decay from death. I think the amount of decrease should be porpotional to the lvl of resurrection. So the higher the level in resurrection the less decay the dead party will lose. So, theoritcally if someone was a gm in resurection the decay should be almost none. I think this would be a great perk for the life tree! What ya'll think!!!

    Great idea, otherwise taking an ankh res is more attractive as you return to full health and focus from that.

    As long as none can even tell how much the skill loss is, this idea brings nothing useful

    How can none tell what the skill loss is? Per Chris's post it is .0001 per hour up to a max of .0004 multiples by the applied experience in a given glyph.

    So someone with 10 glyphs at 80 would see.

    40,000*.0004 =16 pts per skill or 160 total.

    So at 200 resurrection if it were to cut the decay in half it would be .00005 per hour up to a max of .0002.

    40,000*.0002=8 pts per skill or 80 total.

    I actually think it should remove it completely:)

    The level of resurrection should be about percentage of max health/focus the resurrected player respawns with. I hate those ankhs resurrecting you fully while the spells gives you very little health after such a long casting time.

    Oh casting time is another thing that should be reduced as you level it. The interrupts on resurrection are really annoying.

    So you find this all plausible? Not for me. All those numbers are totally abstract and unrelated.

    I agree. Many games have a benefit for death like this and I like it.

    Some games leave a tombstone. If you make it back to your tombstone in time you "recover" some of your lost xp.

    Death is a joke and means almost nothing in this game need to make it painful and be damned to anyone who whines about it.

    Decay - Item recovery - pain - suffering -

    Death should mean something significant not the simple minor (very minor) inconvenience.

    To what purpose? A game should be fun and enjoyable to play, not a job with pains and rediculous suffering. And I am sorry this is a game, it is all pixel pain which is just an inconvenience and requires additional work to recover. If you want pain builds yourself a nice device that hooks to USB that will physically shock you when you die. There is your pain and suffering.

    I agree I think being rezzed should mean something as well. No death penalty if someone rezzes you. I also like the idea of getting back to your body for less penalty but we don't have that feature in this game atm. Death was talked about to be a deeper experience in earlier days of this game and could be on the mile long 'to do' list for some day as many things probably are ;)
