I want this system limited to be balanced and have interdependencies, i'm not for strict classes, i'm just for a limitation to make "role" play in a gamemechanically sense possible. It's actually possible, but a self limiting thing like you did with your group or Time Lord did with his group or players do for themself.
But all this makes you weak in pvp and to me RP and PvP belong together!

I for example just still dont want to have to skill fire as a watermage, but i want to be highly competetive.
I just dont want to fight against people who have so many benefits because they grind +10hrs a day, because there is no end.

Still for pick e.g. 7 Trees and Master them at 100. End of Story.
If you want more, play an Alt.
This for balancing , purpose of MP (interdependencies) and the RPG aspects.

I totally understand that! Im with you on that, what i did with my group was class only and we all had a great time playing together, but if i was to go into PVP with a Class only character i would be OoOooOoing all over the place!

That's my Problem because RP without the possibility to PvP ist just Tavern Talk Dancepartys and not the Roleplay i want to have!!!
But as you know and can see, there is no or very few people who understand this, who want this and who support this.
I dont know if it would change more players come and play the game, but i assume it as games like Legends of Aria already have more players in Beta SotA ever had playing since persistence.
Or what i just experienced with my own friends and discussions about the game.

Roles in group PVP are realy important, I fought many times in group with specific roles vs groups with no roles and I can assure you that it makes the difference. A group with a dedicated healer, a PVP tank and different kind of dps is much more stronger than a group of casuals All-in-one characters.
There are several top pvpers specialized in a specific build, all of them are much more competitive than generalists.

PS:Opalis Ruin is a PVP capped zone to level 80. I've a pure warrior alt level 80 ables to win most of pvp fights without the need of leveling up any skills to 140 or having all schools to level 100 (I have no attunement at all).
If you want to prove otherwise I invite you to fight it, you should blame the poor skill in building a character and decks instead of blaming the game. There are people in my guild with a dozen hours of play with a good setting and gear that can compete pretty well in pvp situations.
