    1. Title: Ring of Fire Causes Targets To Burn For Set Duration Not Linked to Presence/Absence In The Field
    2. Reproduction Rate: 100%
    3. Blocker? No
    4. Details: Ring of fire will cause any target that is in the cast zone or enters while the field is active to become ignited for a duration (during which they take fire damage), and the full duration of the burn is applied regardless of whether or not the target remains in the field. Damage should only be applied to targets remaining in the field and perhaps for a short (6 seconds?) duration after leaving it. Furthermore, it is possible to have a target remain in a Ring of Fire for the spell's entire duration (which is longer than the 'burn'), but the 'burn' effect will only apply once, making it possible for a target to be in a RoF and not taking damage.
    5. Steps to Reproduce: Cast Ring of Fire on a target that is on you, watch them remain in the ring for the entire duration or exit the ring shortly after, but the burn effect/damage does not respond accordingly.

i use this in pvp, changing the spell to only do damage while in the ring will make the spell obsolete

nevertheless, bug happens to me also

Maybe not as good for that purpose, but not obsolete. It's still a great spell for kiting around in (if you have it large enough) or grabbing agro as a tank.

I am not sure if this is intended or not. I will submit it to the team. Thanks, @Xeen Dread and @EDDYCORP

You are on fire, does not matter if you leave the fire that put you on fire, if you are still on fire yourself. As for it not being re applied over and over until they leave it, once the duration is over, it can get applied again.

ya, this one is a 2 parter.. How long the ignite lasts (just mentioned, a recurring variable timer in the ice field topic) as well as the debuff vs field duration and standing in it after the ignite wears off with nothing further happening.

maybe it will cause lag if it has to get reapplied over and over till they leave it? It not getting reapplied if they stand in it longer then the burn duration does seem a little weird.

Probably exactly why it is working as is currently. You've seen the problems with soothing rain auto-reapply spamming itself.... ugh

No need for that rapid of a re-application though, once per second with a 6 second run timer is plenty.

What I mean is, every second they are in the field, they take damage and the buff re-applies. If they leave the field or it expires, they continue to burn for the remainder of the 6 seconds. Simple enough.

Or just match the burn duration to the duration of the spell itself, even simpler, and less chance of lag. It used to be longer then the spell, when the spell lasted 21 second, they burned for 42.
