The Isle of Ghosts is open to the public 24/7. Think of it as a little known tourist destination. :)

Currently the Prison and Farm scene stories have been completed. There is, however, a great deal more to be done elsewhere.

PS: Look for Prison or Farm at the Town Crier and set your compass destination accordingly.

    Indeed! *waves at @Bowen Bloodgood*

As I was saying, yes, the resources that @Elgarion and @Bowen Bloodgood have offsite are tremendous starts to getting the word out there, and I do agree that if anything else can be done to streamline traffic of role-players to an easily identifiable section of their own.

Perhaps even a sticky in the New Players section to point RolePlayers to the FireLotus forum as a start.

We have a lot of motion on going from the past: Geographically, the POT scene has quite a range of topics going, everything from PaxLair and Port Phoenix rebuilding themselves, to the Isle of Ghosts telling stories through passive notes and journals, and many works in progress: Rat's Nest, Beran's Reach, Rift's End, Radio City, Kahli, Serenite... All the guild towns probably have their own small stories going as well.

@Balec Fares deCani and I have our own little project in the White Hart area about taming the wild frontier.. @Cassyr Dubois has set up the Tower of Black Robes there also.

@Boris Mondragon has his set of stories going around tying city to city RP together in his boat trip.

Tolly Lardbottom has also had amazing RP events in the past.

Some of the tech changes that happen make some of the events a bit hard to pull off, but considering that we are working around entire systems still being built, its been creative going.

I have other ideas, but I've said enough for now.

Dara Brae has been a role playing center for things with a Celtic theme. Many events over the years have been held here that furthers the storyline that was created by our players.

Our nature reserve is our current story sharing elements from Ultima's Skara Brae, earth's Skara Brae, medieval England Ireland Scotland lore, and Druidic teachings. Plus archaeology events that have discovered more of this mystical island started with a role playing epic multipart quest.

Stryker Sparhawk and Duke Gréagóir these all sound amazing and I am hoping to engage. My hope is to get these activities forefront to new and prospective role players!

It's really early here so I already apologize if I come across grumpy.
Put it right beside the pvp forum where everybody can see it......

Non the less all power to you for your projects.

I recommend that and want to suggest to use flags instead of roleplayers sub Forums.

[iC], [ooC], [Event], [Notice] or [Letter]
    And things like that.

Also while I am not much of a role player but enjoy all the community, I am just mentioning that not all players who may wish to role-play read the forums, now if we had community in game bulletin boards we would have more information available about who is doing what, but so far that is a dream of mine to get this in game and also this would or could be a place as well for our work orders, which could also be other player created role-play events listed there. *sighs*

I'll have to talk to my father.
He'll hate me for this, due to his current role.
Birko "Aldous" Babbage resides in Adoris.

Myself and my sibling now find him very cryptic, but he taught us much about what happened during The Fall.
Now he meditates before he speaks. Not as if words are powerful, but as if the gaps and kerning between words are power.
My father likes linguistic dark matter. Not the spell itself, but the gaps between the syllables.
The recycling of remnants of spells already cast, are powerful for a patient hidden observer.

@Earl Atogrim von Draken does have a valid point. I think Role Play and PVP are similar in that they both appeal to special interest groups, and are both important aspects of the game. I think perhaps RP should either be placed with PVP in Game Features, or both should be elevated.

And there is even room in the overlapping circles for both.

I would point out that PvP is within Skills & COMBAT. Of which RP doesn't really fit that description.. There's no reason at all to put an RP forum there. In fact, it just doesn't make any sense.. the only people who'd see that are PvPers. Unless someone is suggesting moving PvP somewhere else more visible. (Which I have no problem with).

And where would people do this?

No I mean where in the forums? In General Discussion? Crafting? Dev+?

I could see using RP tags like IC and OOC inside an RP forum but not really outside of one where people expect all posts to be OOC by default.

Equal elevation seems more then fair. I was just thinking to ask for something simpler to accomplish, but it would be ideal if role-play could be put right on the About Page of the main website alongside PvP as well: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?page_id=28012

    Thank you all.

@Bowen Bloodgood Wasn't that the thread about a RP Forum?

I just wanted to say a RP Forum is a good Idea but instead of Subforums use threadtitle flags.

And I'm asking what the point is in using flags outside of an RP forum where everyone expects all posts to be OOC? Where else would you use them that would make sense?

Edit: Or is that what you're saying to use them in the RP forum instead of other forums IN the RP forum?

    Unfortunately, "sub-forum" is a bit ambiguous. :)
