Sameal the Healer in Hghvale doesn't do the quest

Title: Sameal the Healer in Hghvale doesn't do the quest

Details: The healer just stands there after the quest is triggered.
Stpes:
- enter the Highvale scene
- talk to the night
- talk to the healer
- he acknowledges that the knight needs help
- he doesnt' move to the knight
Build: 447

 

Glad to see I'm not the only one with that problem.

Edit: Tried a few more times and noticed that as I face him, he turns to my left and takes one or two steps after agreeing to follow me, but then goes back to his starting point and does nothing. Possible path finding issue??

Just tried a couple of things here.

1. Discovered that after playing with the Practice Dummy for a bit, and then disengaging, it still appears right beside my name as if I am still targeting it. I had to hit the 'Esc' key to disengage. That didn't fix the Samuel problem

2. I decided to log out, wait a couple of minutes for my character to disappear, then logged back in. That didn't help.

3. Out of desperation, I tried to trick Samuel into following me. I did this by trying to engage in a conversation with him from a distance. He would then walk up to me, but I would continually walk away from him, and slowly move towards Gaiwans position.
I did get Samuel up there, but he still did the same thing. Agreed to follow me but then did nothing. It looks like a flag isn't be set here for some reason.

4. I'm running out of options here. Really wanted this to work. Also to note, I did mention this issue in the QA test.


Edit: Since my lot selection is a number of days away still, I have decided to log out in the Battle of Highvale, and hope that this will be worked on in the next day or two, in which case I would be happy to test it out. If it doesn't get fixed, then I will abandon the quest.

 

I'll look into this but please note that this quest is solely for flavor (and initially to prototype NPCs following a pre-defined path as part of a quest); it is not necessary for progression.

 

came to report this glad to see it isn't just me. Sorry to miss out on the exp though.

Got the healer to the knights location. He said let me help you, stood there for a bit then walked away. No exp gain.

 

Thank You Lum. At least I know that if I skip this quest, I won't break anything further on.

 

Yeah but we do lose out on the xp, which is a bummer. Oh well!

 

Also, I really wanted to help poor Gawain... :-(

 

On the positive side, at least Gawain now looks like he is really injured.

 

Same problem. Punishment for refusing to switch to bows.

 

I'm having the same problem. Even tho we don't have to do the quest I still want to do every quest I find.

So how do you get the boards to disappear from the exit gate into Novia? I'm trapped in the Battle, lol.

 

There is another exit. When you exit the wooden gate (where Edvard is), turn to your left and keep going. There is a second exit in that direction. Watch out for the Elf mages.

 

I will have to get Samuel to follow me through the flaming buildings. That will make him more cooperative

 

Doh, lol. Thank you. I am enlightened and now know there is a compass and that I need to use it. I did remember the guy saying North And barring that, sotamap.com ftw.

 

Patch notes say hes fixed, but he's still not moving

 

Same issues here. I can't get Sam to move to Gawain.
