A note in regards to "adding perks" after already announcing.

There is a real world monetary value to these items, correct?

We see peeps trading pledge items in the market place.

I am not sure, but wouldn't that make it difficult to amend the offering now?

In theory, if suddenly an extra perk was added between the current levels, and one of the earlier backers suddenly sees it next month, but because they reached funding levels they can't invest anymore, you could have a bunch of pissed off backer.

If it was there from the beginning they may have initially invested more and not have missed out on those "Extras" especially if they were looking at potential to sell one or two of those items.

We kind of saw that occur during the pre-presistence stage of game development.

By not adding perks everyone had an equal chance to decide if it is worth investing at that level.

It would be nice to add a few levels.

But at the same time, you dont want to alienate the earlier investors.

- "Game Access" - is this episode 1 only or 1-5 ?

if it´s 1-5 i am tempted to create a new account from the "game access" - how will this work ?

我不知道你的內部調查資料每個月玩家成長情況如何?
但是從steam來看，從去年8月以後就是不停的負成長

現在
已經快突破2百人了
或許這與你們內部的統計資料數量有差異
但是我相信卻是個不能忽略的警訊

記得幾個星期前我們還在這邊抱怨玩家被BAN的問題?
我們要的不是你們解除他的帳號
我們要的只是明確的發生時間和地點
很遺憾地到最後你們還是無法告訴我們這些訊息

記得最近這幾個半年多來都進行處理所謂的[戰鬥平衡]?
我很想問問你們真的有自己試著挑戰自己調整出來的怪物?(以現在玩家平均水平來測試)
所謂的平衡是不斷的弱化玩家
從R14版到現在魔法不停的弱化
近戰技能從未被強化
遠程技能不論怎麼樣都不受影響仍然強勢到現在
馴獸...不用說了，已經是個浪費金錢和時間的代名詞
一切都為的是滿足你們所謂的[戰鬥平衡]
最後，可以SOLO BOSS的仍然天天SOLO BOSS
倒楣的是不上不下的玩家和被你們操弄的玩家
為了配合你們的[戰鬥平衡]和有限的條件
玩家必須不停的修改自己技能甚至於還要花錢買一堆[unlearn skills]變相讓你們賺錢
你們有想過一次把所有技能/魔法通通歸0然後還給玩家所有經驗當作補償?
DEV你們經常做這件事，但是現在你們從不想這件事
結果是讓玩家一再流失離開

我不是甚麼高[Pledge]的玩家
但是我可以很有自信的說你我比你們更了解SotA的成長過程
遊戲內發生了甚麼事情我比你們更了解許多
很遺憾的只因為[Pledge]高低而不被接受所說的意見
如果持續忽略我們這些低價位[Pledge]的玩家意見你們將會更加流失許多玩家
最後所謂的發行上市或想進軍亞洲市場恐怕都只是空談

最後讓大家看看兩年前的法師和兩年後的法師到底落差有多大


我已經不敢期待會恢復到兩年前的水準
我只希望不要再更糟糕下去
還有這場[戰鬥平衡]調整的噩夢能夠盡早結束

This is Champions Online... if you look at the numbers... it's not very different from Shroud of the Avatar...



NOW... Champions Online is an already commercially released game and it's even Free-To-Play but the numbers are almost like Shroud of the Avatar which is still in Early Access and it's not Free-To-Play.

Another thing... Champions Online is published by PWE, a big MMO publisher with millions of dollars to spend in marketing, while Shroud of the Avatar is published in-house with hardly any marketing.

 

實在很希望有一個穩定的遊戲環境。到目前為止，仍相信創造ultima世界的李察可以再次創造mmorgp的新樂園，但每次改版對長期支持的玩家來說都像是惡夢。

如果遊戲的設定與大部分的玩家意願相違背的，人們怎會願意投資呢？老玩家不斷退出，新玩家不願進來，那是在創造一個AI怪物對打的遊戲嗎？

Apple能成為全世界最會賺錢的公司，因為它把價格定高之餘，也創造了吸引群眾熱愛的產品，並把它打造成品牌象徵。

Lord British、ultima就是最好的品牌，但SotA的吸引力目前沒有明顯再提升。

玩家如果認為遊戲的缺憾大於吸引力，這種心態並不會因為遊戲正式上市而改變。對於購買了遊戲並且每天上線的人來說，SotA已經推出一段日子了，但吸引力反而因改版的逐漸下降。

上線人數、投資人數、季度購買金額等，有很多指標見證玩家對SotA心態的改變，也許他們已經有點不耐煩，甚至退出了。

希望遊戲開發者明白想要創造出一個怎樣的世界，希望遊戲開發者明白玩家能夠接受一個怎樣的世界，兩者之間的平衡才是最重要的，事實證明一直下調玩家的能力並沒有達到平衡兩者的效果。

ultime 7對我來說是非常感動的，它讓我過去十年一直沉醉在ultima的世界；但我也忘記不了ultima 8，它的系統明明有更好的改善，卻只讓人記起聖者像是SuperMario。

再強大的系統，也會被一些蹩腳的設計所破壞，SotA正急需讓新、老的玩家喜歡上它的元素。
