    Actually I just received an email from these fools and although the website still shows that I have 1 more share, the seedinvestment folks are saying it's been rounded down. I'm in the process of explaining that you can't round down shares after the sale is complete. It's absurd to think that they would try to do this. I'll keep people posted, but again check to make sure that's not happening on your shares too. This is not an acceptable way to do business.

    I double checked the math and it seems to be correct - the website was one over, but the certificate is correct.

    407 shares X 1.231 = 501.017 + 10.02 = 511.037

    There are several problems with that however. Say you thought you purchased enough for the next tier of investor perks, for example? (That's not the case with me, but for Seed Invest to say that you can't trust their website math, so sorry. That's not cool.)

    At least it does match the amount withdrawn.

    I did find this answer on the website - The answer to that is "Yes", you will receive the Investor Perks for $1000 even though your share purchase is valued at $999.58. And this same logic applies to all the Investor Perk levels that are rounded down.

    heh,, and I got this back after sending them a question:
    I got the following from them after I sent a message about it.

    "...Apologies for the confusion, and thanks for bringing that to our attention. It is a bug on your portfolio. Your investment of $1,000.81 correlates to 813 purchased shares at $1.231 per share.

    Hope the clear things up, and we will be fixing the portfolio page shortly..."

    Just to clarify, It was my understanding that Port is going to ask us which account we want this all applied to. Are y'all going to handle this manually?

    For example... my seedinvest acct uses an email I use for a certain type of communications.. aka I actually check it fairly often. However..that email address already has a Sota account. I intend to use the access that comes with my investment for another acct which currently has a visitor hanging out in Soltown. I want to convert the visitor account to a permanent one; I mean hey... $40 is $40...

    Actually they rounded up on their page which is dumb. If you take my case (and lord knows idk why for example my investment was $1000.81 and @discipleofweb had a total of $999.58) my total shares would be 813.005 shares. I'm not the best at math but my memory says you don't round .005 up to the next whole number anyway. I'll be glad to get this all behind us.. lol it's enough of a job bugging Chris w/o having to deal with SI :)

    fwiw, If you purchase a stock and want physical possession of the cert as opposed to being a ledger item on your broker's accts it's still done on request.

    Why is it our problem that they have a bug in their website? That's a ridiculous answer. I don't believe that meets usual and customary ecommerce standards.

    Agreed. I'm amazed they were apparently unaware. With the funds now in Ports hands I can't get away from SI fast enough. That place seems like a compliance department's worst nightmare. I'm glad that the QA staff at Port is top drawer.
    By the by.. @DarkStarr , as this is now closed, I'd like to hear what the final #'s were.

    My SeedInvest closed and that's a relief, yet I am still awaiting one refund from increasing my investment... Not a worry for me, but others could have felt some pain from having funds tied up for so long o_O ~TL~
