Should one report all bugs or only new bugs in the new release?

    Once R13 is out, when preparing to submit a bug report for R13, is it necessary to go back and scan the bug reports from previous releases to see if it has already been reported (and not been fixed)? Or should one report every R13 bug, even if the bug already existed in R12?

    In every release they include a "known issues" doc, that and the current release's bugs are the only ones you need to go through.

    issues that were 'resolved' but are returning, should always be reported though.

    I've never heard of a developer exclaiming: "oh no, too much information, however shall i fix the issue!?"

    Our Database guy does that all the time. Especially after mgmnt ask about cloud costs.

    DBA's are a whole different ball of wax... i mess with the ones i know by saying "thats just my .02 cents" - same with the accountants. *evil grin*
