    OMG - so now we will have TWO full games! We can explore New Britannia online, with our online community, and then log off to explore the land with our Companions!

    Just have a quick question about the SP offline...
    Will there ever be a time say can I invite another Avatar to join in a duel or like a campaign?
    I know there were games years ago that had that option, just wondered eh

    Yeah, I was going to request that too. The 35+ questions that I asked might be useful for the public too, unless the devs feel those responses are locked to Dev+ only? Or if we get permission to do so, we can ask enderandrew to add all of those responses to the Unofficial FAQ?

    As stated above "As you review this remember that Offline Mode is completely separate from Online Modes. Characters cannot move between these modes."

    Anything less than a complete firewall between the two would result in massive balance issues, and likely huge numbers of exploits.

    This essentially turns it into a private server. Nothing against that but yeah I don't see that happening until after Ep5.


    Easier said than done. :)


    I had a similar followup question to this response too, but I felt I exceeded my quota of questions. :)

    Well, the public post has been made, so I'm waiting on the mods to merge the questions/responses from here to that public post and we can ask followup questions there. I have quite a few lined up :)

    The reason I say it would be easy is because they have used Photon networking as their base that would easily support such a feature but like Darkstarr stated it could cause balance issues so they'd have to make a yet again separate Lan Mode which would be a lot more work but I think some day when there is a mod kit and other features they could support this type of thing but most likely not in Episode 1.

    2 Quick questions - pledge rewards and all the swag we get with that, will (some of) those be available to us in offline mode, or is that STRICTLY for online modes? Same question for PoTs for either the owners or all players.

    Probably won't have NPCs able to purchase things off vendors in offline mode for Ep 1

    Not sure I understand the second question

    Getting the companions to work as traveling companions in online is not in scope for Ep 1 but things like pets, summoned creatures, and tamed creatures can fill those gaps in online

    I thought we had been clear on this and this is why there was so much angst which then prompted this post to have a section describing companions in offline being more robust.
