It runs around like an idiot trying to get range far too much.

I'll see if I can record a video of it sometime but if you summon it in combat you'll see pretty quickly.

I'm not sure but the ranged mobs seem to run more often when you're facing multiple enemies.

Tell him to stop running and let you kill him... Er... Re-kill him? Lay him to rest.., that sounds nice.

Every wolf in the game runs away from me when I approach so....maybe they learned it from the wolves?

Isnt he talking about the Skeleton Mag that you can summon yourself? Im under the impression that the Mage is trying to get into the most optimal position for him not to get hit, and him able to hit whatever target you have.
Dont think there is a way to stop him running at present.

I kind of like the behavior. It gives players with ranged skill a nice chance to shoot something at range vs. the many mobs that attack at melee range. It makes some of the pull and knockdown skills in polearms, for example, useful (with a need to skillfully use them at the right time). As a melee, it also leads me to use some other skills like root. Without this running behavior, I suspect more melee players would just go with a much less diverse heavy armor build. *Shrugs*

Yeah, I meant the pet. I understand why the NPC mobs do it.

The pet is not worth summoning at this point because it spends too much time trying to find the ideal spot to shoot from. It should really only move when it gets aggro.
