When trying to cross the desert near Sequanna COlossus, there was a roving skeleton. I tried to avoid, but the skeleton could cross the map twice as fast as my character, making the encounter totally unavoidable. If you want the encounters to be avoidable, then the roving mobs should not move faster thatn players on any overland locations.

No coconuts. Nothing special. I was just running across the desert, but they were about 2-3 times faster than my character.

I will add while playing I got sucked into the same roving skeleton 5 times. I didn't want to fight them, so I ran away, but then your right next to them on the main map again and get tagged back in. What made it worse was I wasn't on the main map so as previously posted no way I could outrun them.

Ive run into the being dragged back in - do we know if you kill all the mobs in the encouter if it removes the mob from the map? if that happens at least theres a reason to do a mass killing spree

I killed all the mobs in one encounter and it did remove them from the map. However another encounter kept looping after doing that (unless i missed one). But a new player is unlikely to be able to clear the area, so I see this as a major turn-off to new players who get caught in a loop or who constantly get drawn into encounters they can't outrun.

They really need to adjust the overland speed if these are supposed to be avoidable. I kept getting sucked back into the encounter every time I would leave. I didn't have enough time to start moving before I was sucked back in.
