So with the 3x encumbrance, watering plants.

So am I now going to be running back and forth for water? Maybe make water lighter? Its going to be SUPER annoying running back and forth between my chest and planters. For example, my 5 story town lot basement has 1780 plants, so I have to be able to carry 3560 water, and that is WAY over 3x capacity, so I would be running back and forth with water.

 

What was the reason for this change?

 

Exploiting and bots probably.

 

It was because when a toon got over 10,000 lbs it was super laggy. you can test this by trading more stuff to a character who already has 10,000 lbs on them and see how long it takes them to sign vs the person doing the trade. I have noticed this when I was leveling alts and just kept stacking all the stuff on them.

 

My workaround to this is to keep the buckets in the bank and use the remote bank device, provided you have some empty spot somewhere to drop it nearby each time you need it. It requires a ton more clicking and dragging and makes agriculture that much less desirable as a profession, as it now requires a ton more inventory management.

 

But I dont have any space to put it down in my town 5 story basement, I would have to lift and put down planting beds to do that, and that just seems like a pain the in arse.

 

Have a small 5-story-City-basement with 1800+ planting barrels.
I use in each story a seperate chest for the water I need on that story; will see how it works with the 3-time limit now.

 

Just imagine what a major nightmare it will be to buy water in small lots and then crawl to the bank, and then return to the vendor, etc etc. Or being unable to hold enough water to fully plant out all the beds you have down, extending an already excruciatingly long process and throwing your timers all to hell.

 

i'm supposedly not able to pickup 2500 because i can only carry 4000 ... my total weight would only be 2700.
Within those parameters i should be able to pick it up right? or is it bugged?


issue was that i picked it up , tried to craft, couldn't cause i was way over weight. tried to cancel crafting ... can't so had to put the box down while crafting to cancel crafting.

I then buffed and it went sideways. This time i exited the game, rejoined and buffed first.
This time it worked.

 

Did you make a bug report?

 

Much of this change is being reverted & other additional changes are also being made. It looks like it will only apply to adventurer scenes, plus the weight of water is being reduced.

 

I filed a bug, the 3x weight fix is in ... but its not working if you put the box down and pick it up again. That is unless you log out of the game and back in.
