I was very excited about that release note: Global Visual Improvements (with screenshot comparison), but it seem that I can not reproduce that??

On QA, the Shadow Distance setting was totally borked. They didn't appear to see my bug report, so I'm hoping that it was fixed.

Yeah, graphics improvements look good but now you need to work on performance again, because it took a significant hit.

Can you please post a screenshot with good settings and the same in best settings? I do not see much difference on my screen..

i see plenty of difference on your screen. much less moiring of the metal grates the catapults are on, one of the grates is actually missing in your before shot, your shadow on the ground is much crisper, the farthest trees and hills are actually more indistinct as is appropriate for far-away objects, the shady side of the trees is much more realistic rather than having light looking like it's going through most of the leaves... you might have some differences visible in the sky if you didn't have the brightness up high enough that it's blown out.

Yes it does look better, but it seems a lot of shadows are still not being rendered in the scenes. But I saw that @Barugon made a bug report about some shadows not being casted of light objects. Maybe this has something to do with it.
Thanks for the brightness tip, As I am not seeing those sky renders as how they have been posted in the after screenshot from the release notes.

Heavily decorated POT's makes sense. But I did see some lights not casting shadows in normal scenes also.
