[solved] [Info needed] Crash: Access Violation from UnityPlayer.dll in towns

    Title: Unityplayer.dll causes an Access Violation in several bigger towns (Owls Head, Etceter, ..)
    Reproduction Rate:After entering the town in approx. 20 secs to 1 minute
    Blocker?
    Details:Happens every time since last patch
    Steps to Reproduce:Just march in and wait for crash
    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8) System RAM: 12269
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GPU RAM: 6052
    SotA.EarlyAccess.LIVE.Win.64.728.Date.01.30.18
    Area: OwlsHead
    Area Display Name: Owl's Head
    Loc: (157.3, 86.5, 218.3)
    Error: UnityPlayer.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module UnityPlayer.dll at 0033:5e1d4493.

    The first thing I would do is a full uninstall and reinstall. When you reinstall make sure your antivirus program has Sota whitelisted. I suspect file corruption.
    This is a unity related error. For most errors of this type a reinstall should fix it. But if it does not, is there any other information provided when this error pops up?
    What troubleshooting have you completed so far, to help us narrow things down? How is your FPS in towns that do load?

    Thx for the info. Reinstalled SOTA completely. No change and I crashed again.
    Then I reinstalled the 2010 c++-libraries which came with Unity. It seems it fixed that problem.
    No crash since that. Hopefully it stays like that :)
