SotA exit (including crash) frequently crashes Steam client

Please feel free to move this if it is in the wrong forum.

When I exit SotA, either intentionally or not (yay pre-Alpha!), the Steam client running in the background frequently crashes immediately after SotA closes. The .crash file in the Steam directory is empty, and there is no file found when I search for "crash" or "error" under ../Steam/steamapps/common/SotA/ .

This happens frequently if SotA crashes, and occasionally if I exit SotA nicely.

Workaround: Restart Steam manually.

System:
Windows 10, Intel Core i7 (8 logical cores), 12 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6850

 

While I cant move this, it probably belongs in the crash section. However, I have forwarded this for review 31/10/2016

Update: This also happens when patching the client within Steam, especially when starting the patch or changing from part 1 to part 2 of the patch.

I have several Steam client crash files now. They were in D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\dumps if anyone else is having similar issues (my c: is just the OS). To whom should I send them? They are binary .dmp files, most around 510KB.
