SotAwiki Update Thread

Same issue here. Maybe there is no more free storage left.

 

Lots more updates & additions, here are a few...

• Player Dungeons - added a list of all the blueprints that drop as loot, where they drop, and what they drop from.
• Dungeon totem - page created
• Fishing - included a section on "Optimizing Success for Fishing", also complete re-write.
• Updated/completed all the fishing ring pages: lava, salt, fresh, fetid
• Odd Container (Flotsam) - page added
• Floating Barrel (Flotsam) - page updated
• Friends list and Block player - pages added
• Blessings - major update
• Town Sieges - complete rewrite.

For my updates to zones, I added a section on "Unique Aspects of the zone", such as unique loot, creatures, content, etc. For example, see

• Castle Atos
• Brittany Sewers
• Ruins of Ravensmoor
• The Rise

and lots more !

Thanks to all the players who have been sending me info to help complete these wiki updates. Too many contributors to mention everyone, but I send a huge thanks to you all!

Sotawiki has not been working for a few days for me.
Anyone else having the same issue?

It seems that the creators/staff/mods are no longer actively involved in SOTA, nor the SOTA wiki.
@Browncoat Jayson (the creator of this thread) has not logged into the forums in a while, and other than the forums, I don't have any contact information for him.
Also, without access to the wiki, i can't obtain contact info for other staff/mods of the wiki.
Does anybody have contact info for any of the SOTAwiki staff/mods?
It would be nice to get some help with this issue, and with several other sotawiki maintenance issues.

I still follow this thread, so I do get updates. Unfortunately, I havn't played SotA for quite a while and am very much out of the loop.

It looks like SotAwiki loads for me, although it is slow. The wiki is hosted by the ultimacodex, so I'll ping them to see if there are issues.

 

It appears to be a hosting issue, as other wikis that they maintain are also reporting issues. We've made them aware, so it should be resolved soon. Thanks for letting us know!

• Tradeable versus No-Trade - included section on "packaging" for trade.
• Garbage Bin - page added.
• Potion of Stalking Cat & Potions of Stalking Cat, Aether - major updates to potions & recipes.

 

The air elemental doesn't stun (at least I've never seen it stun and I use it all the time) but it does have a chance for a double attack. I'm not sure if that's intentional but I believe it is due to how relatively weak the air elemental is.

 

Thanks for the correction. I don't use the air elemental much, but i did test all the elementals before I made the wiki post.
Occasionally the air elemental hit and a "stun" icon would appear under the foe's health bar. The icon disappeared so fast that I was only able to perceive the word "stun".
Also, my chat logs show this:
"Air Elemental <Rinaldi> attacks Large Skeleton and hits, dealing 52 points of damage from Stun."

I just tested again, i was able to snap a screen shot of the debuff before it quickly disappeared:


I assumed the air ele stunned based on the title of this debuff and based on the chat logs. I did not observe a stun (i.e. the foe did not stop moving/attacking), but I figured that the stun duration was imperceptible because my air elemental level & air attunement are very low.

Anyhow, you are correct Barugen...it is not a stun. It is only one additional tick of damage (so essentially an extra attack).
There are so many misleading, poorly worded, and poorly defined things in this game, and this is one of them.
I was completely misled by the debuff's title and chat logs. Why the heck is this named stun, when it does not stun?
Anyhow, I corrected the wiki pages: changed the air ele's special attack from a stun effect to the additional damage effect.

It's honestly a good thing that it's not an actual stun as that would give mobs the crowd control resist buff and that would actually work against me.
