Details: I purchased a quest item from Fleck but I think I deposited the item in the wrong place, and now it is gone. (I put it in one of the three tombs but can't remember which one.) I hoped to be able to get a duplicate item from Fleck again, but failed.
Sequence of events:
1. I talk to Fleck and purchase the quest item. I think I deposited the quest item in the wrong place
2. I return to Fleck, click "buy" and Fleck offers me a trade for 1 gold. I pay the gold, but get nothing in return.
3. I talk to Fleck again, but he says he has nothing to sell.

I thought that if I exited the scene, the quest would be reset, and I could obtain the quest item from Fleck again. However, the first time I speak to him after re-entering the scene he once again performs a trade for 1 gold, but I obtain nothing in return from him.

Expected behavior:
Assuming I deposited the quest item he sold me in the right place, Fleck should always say he has nothing to sell and not go through a "pretend" trade where he gets gold and I get nothing in return.
Assuming I had deposited the quest item in the wrong place and therefore bungled the quest, I should be able to purchase another such quest item from Fleck in order to complete the quest.

Yes, same issue, the keystone from Fleck did not respawn after first attempt.

I also tried to buy it again and did not receive it in the second transaction.

This was after I left the zone, the other two keystones did respawn in the same places as before.

 

I don’t want to kill Fleck to see if it can be looted from his body.

 

Same prob here. Seems you have to take the keys with you after activate the right tomb. Leaving them there bugs the quests out.

 

Same for me too. I completed the quest once on my first visit. On going back the next day I can get the spear and sword but Fleck takes my 1 gold coin and gives me nothing in return.

 

I run into the same prob, but then decided to slay Fleck. After killing him (and accidentially a lot of innocent bypassers) I was able to loot the axe from his corpse.
