Speaking with the Bard at Highvale

When first speaking with the Bard at Highvale, he seems to know you have helped Gawain and that you have a task to perform for him as he says “I realize you have an important task ahead of you from the good knight Gawain”. Then when you finish your conversation with the Bard and say “Bye”, his response is “Farewell, and go speak to Gawain, the wounded paladin”. I would suggest he only direct us to Gawain if we have not completed the dying knight quest prior since going back to Gawain results in no new dialogue from him.
