spiders cant climb rocks?

    Details: spiders reset when player jumps on rock, same occurs at all rock formations
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. go to Deep Ravenswood Loc: (98.7, 31.9, 141.7)
    2. attack spiders
    3. jump onto large rock formation
    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601) 64bit
    SotA.EarlyAccess.Win.64.538.Date.01.11.17
    Area: HiddenVale_Forest02_Tier5
    Area Display Name: Deep Ravenswood
    Loc: (98.7, 31.9, 141.7)

    there are quite a number of places where this can be exploited, anywhere where there is a rock formation that requires jumping (3 of them in deep ravenswood, a few in serpent spine foothills, the issues seems to be everywhere i look :p ). considering the changes to how bows work from height, one would expect NPCs to be able to jump and allow players to use the height advantage.

    there is not an animation for vertical ascension of spiders.. this need a lot of work...
    not easy to fix this issue...

    make ramps to every rock formation? not realistic
    create ad HOC rock formations with Wooden Barricade and spikes?

    maybe it's possible to rename RED SPIDERS to EARTH SPIDERS :p and REMOVE all visible RAMPS to lower rock formations...

    We need more infortmation to understand the nature of what you're calling a bug, because the current system should be working as expected.

    When jumping onto a rock, enemies that cannot directly path to you should disengage. You should not be able to attack them, nor attempt in any way that would provide experience for Out of Range enemies.

    If you are able to reproduce being on top of a rock and earning experience for out-of-range enemies, we'd like to know how.

    shooting at a spider while on a rock and having it say dodge is not a fix for spider that cant jump

    why give archers high advantage if it cannot be used? why cant spiders climb or jump?

    the issue is more about the rock being a safe spot for leeching exp

    you asked for an example ... here:

    1. 2 players group
    2. player 1 stands on rock
    3. player 2 kills spiders
    4. player 1 on rock receives exp

    i have never seen a game do it like this, most npcs can either jump or follow one way or the other

    We will create a task to address the ability for players to receive group experience while idling on rocks that are otherwise inaccessible. However, all other aspects of this post should be treated as feedback of how the system currently is expected to operate based on the technical/design direction our game has chosen to take.     Does that mean that utilizing high ground as a healer is also an exploit? I had assumed the pathing logic would have been applied to heals as well if that were the case. In fact, the prevalence of these natural features led me to believe that was their intended use.
