*SPOILERS* Dread Artifacts

believe anapa said he made the heart of sorrows from sequanna's heart, but that's gotta be metaphorical somehow since she seems to be getting around without it.

 

I took that to mean her husband/loved one, rather than her physical heart. So it is both a grisly trophy and a metaphorical one. And somehow twice as tragic for Sequanna.

 

i could see that, but i think if both she and samael had been widowed it would have come up in their conversation.

 

I just got the reagent to use the Scepter from the Oracle. I have to be careful the Oracle is enabling me to mess up.

 

Got another reagent for the Bonesteel Crown and words of power from the Oracle.

 

Also have the reagent and words of power for the Heart of Sorrows

 

Has anyone actually used any of the dread artifacts? Are they just as powerful as advertised?

 

What is the reagent name and words of power for the scepter? (Thanks for the screenshots of the other two!)

 

I will get a screenshot of that one tonight with my offline toon, she also has the scepter of dread.

The reagent is the Elixir of Dread, they all look like a black pearl or the Necropolis keystone.

 

For some reasons the screen shots from @Lum the Mad and others show a pure white Shroud. Somehow my Truth virtue has never been positive... and in fact I'm learning has been very negative, enough to offset my Courage and Love virtues.

The end result? I'm liking the look with a black Shroud. Seems to match my dread artifacts.

 

i've seen white shrouds and black ones, but no screenshots of grey yet. it's supposed to be possible.

 

Here is the last one - Scepter of Dread words of power

 

So, does anyone know how to use them yet? I have all 3 dread artifacts and all 3 reagents - but of course, afraid to actually use them. Do we actually have to type out the words of power in the chat window...or is it something easier like double click on the artifact?

 

If you follow what the Oracle says to do above that should do it.

 

i put on all three yesterday and wonder why are they glowing red and what are the insinuated debuffs?

another 2 questions:

• are the artifacts lootable in PVP?
• are we able to get 2 Sets after using the reset token in R45 and do the quests again?

I really hope there is an option beyond "use them" or "put them in the bank". I wouldn't feel comfortable with either. They need to be locked away where they cannot cause issues, or destroyed.
