    Is it Wednesday already? Time sure flies when you're having fun! I've taken to bringing my laptop into our conference room where we do our standup meetings... I enjoy the discussions that crop up after these meetings, which is why we have them: everyone gets to hear what everyone else is in the middle of working on, and is then able to find anything that may affect their own work.

    In case you are wondering... "Why isn't FireLotus, Rick, Chris, Dallas or Richard included in the Stand-ups? Don't they work, or do they just sit around and bang on the drums all day?"

    We attend all the stand-ups, but our days are filled with so many emergent tasks (like monkey juggling in my case *wink*), we generally don't "report in" like the others do. Instead, we lend support where we are needed while we bang away at our own task lists. :D

    It’s time for the Thursday standup notes! As FireLotus mentioned above, in a little more detail, it’s been about two weeks since we removed ourselves from the morning circle of updates. We were either bogging down the process with a long list of the previous day’s emergent tasks, or generalizing the tasks at such a high level that we said the same thing day after day (RG = story, RH = task management, CS = team management, FL = community, DS = business management) As we added a few more team members, the time was really dragging out, so we dropped the folks that did not have easily identifiable and timed tasks. I hope to find a way to get us back into that, though, as we move from our punchlists back to a sprint board - we'll see what works best, but keeping our standups short & sweet is paramount.

    Hello everyone! It's been a few days without a standup report, and we won't have one today, so I thought I'd check in real quick... Last Thursday was the Independence Day holiday, so no one was at work. On Friday the team spent all day running through the demo we showed over the weekend, looking for anything amiss or last minute, and taking some great screenshots. And today, Monday, we are welcoming our new executive producer (Starr) with MANY meetings about our direction going forward, at both the micro and macro levels.

    Rest assured we'll be back tomorrow with a return to our regularly scheduled standup reports!
