    Great question, thank you for the reminder. That is the Hidden Vale and the "Lost Vale" will be a location based quest within the Hidden Vale.

    The overhaul will be to remove it and replace it with something that makes more sense! That was the first quest line we did, and it was literally written while Richard and Tracy were busy writing the actual story, so it doesn't match up with later lore at all. We plan to circle around to Hidden Vale later this year and redo the quests entirely.

    If you're asking if the old quest flags will be reset, yes, they will.

    If you're asking if we'll have a new quest line written and implemented for the Hidden Vale by next month, no.

    We will continue to work on non-storyline quests well past this release.

    Maybe the neon sign on the boat saying This Way to the Hidden Vale! was part of what made the Vale a bit less than hidden. :) I avoided the Vale @Lum the Mad , for the most part. :D

    No, what I'm asking is: can I reset all those quests, do them all again, then do all the new quests when you write them? It seems the answer is yes.

    Lots of unrelated people IRL share last names.

    In fact, some of us already in game share last names with someone unrelated. In an un-sharded world (everyone in the same world) reserving last names is even silly. It's effectively the same as everybody only having a single name that has to be unique out of hundreds of thousands of names, which leads to the xXxSephirothxXx effect. That is the problem that is solved by two-element names. There can be hundreds of people with the same first or last name, but the exact combination of the two is unique.

    That being said, I don't know whether Port would still want to keep the "same last name" restriction on secondary characters when they get around to adding secondary characters. The "unique last name" thing (which they didn't go with) seems to be the only reason for it.

    A single-element name is simply equivalent to a last name of nothing. Nobody else can have that "first" name with by itself with no last name.

    That is the result of a sharded-world game, where each shard has its own namespace, with no relation to the other shards. There can be no other Rhiannon-no-last-name in all of SotA.

    One of the problems is that we've been waiting so long for secondary characters that many of us have just bought new accounts as alts. All my alts currently have the same last name despite being separate accounts.

    Good question. They are not in the Account page where we can see the novel.
    I'd expect them to be linked on that Account page if they are to be ticked off that list.
    So I don't think they have been released in an official capacity. Correct me if I'm wrong @Berek .


    Now they can be found elsewhere though.

    @DarkStarr I'm hoping the community can get an update on the status of your "Priority 1" items since they do not appear to be mentioned in the Q4 update.

    Ninja Edit: Excuse me, I stand corrected. Improved localization is in the Q4 update, but I cannot find mention of the other items (not to mention Priority 2 and 3 items).
